Not that kind of ring but still.

BACK.

A midnight chat with a girlfriend who's getting engaged/married soon (hello i am your bridesmaid/door reception bitch :p ) reminded me of these photos I took a long while ago of my recently-hauled rings.

With the exception of the last finger, bestie went nuts for me for the other rings at Topshop.
My diamante nails rock :)

Name rings!
Madonna's bling "M-Dolla" ring was waaaay out of my league so I'll settle cutesy kitschy ones.

Speaking of which... *thinks up a super cool hip hop name*

***

Life's extremities leaves one girl wandering in the middle of nowhere, with tens of missed calls and messages. It was oddly satisfying.

More of this a week from now.

Who the hell wears shades indoors?!?

ME :)
'Cause I love my pretty dress so.

And 2 new beanies, yeeeeaaaa.

6 more days, baby!

Rings are the new Hoops?

When it comes to accessorising, well, I don't. The most I'll go is a pair of hoop earrings and I'm off.

But maybe I should be less lazy and get a ring. And since I'd still be lazy, I'll probably invest in one statement ring that I'd wear over again.

[Source: Urban Outfitters.]
I love the stripey details at the side, and the gemstone does not overwhelm.

Forever21 has some nice rings as well.
A modern-looking ring. When I see this ring I think 'art snobs' for some reason. Hmm.
I've always like the vintagey asian flavour jade/gold combo.
Another nice alternative to the atypical gemstone ring, a wooden one.

Go watch Golden Compass! The action sequences are amazing and I don't know why some people said it was draggy. The only thing that frustrates me was that there will be a sequel and no review I've read mentioned that. I hate it when movies have second parts. I like it a lot nonetheless.

Are there no bad movies anymore?!!!

I want to get designer bags, gimme my pay already!

Looking Toasty

SICK :(

I thought I could get better by now, but apparently not. The weather has been so miserable and cold and the perfect brew for a flu.

Anyway, I just feel like wrapping layers of scarves and other winter-ish junk all over me right now.

These winter-ish accessory pieces from UrbanOutfitters look so darn, uh, thermally covetable.

Painter's beret, I have :) Minus the weird-looking sparkly thing.
I'll probably don this tomorrow.
Comfy loose beanie, I really like.

Based on past experiences with the headband this is so going to annoy me, but hey it's pretty, hence.

And then the scarves:

Aah, the hoodie scarf. Favourites rolled into one.

Weird thought, but I hope tomorrow's another cold day so I can dress myself toasty.

Bed now, the only reason I'm still awake is because I'm waiting for my iPod to recharge.

Beautiful iPod Come Back!

My beautiful iPod is now covered in a disgusting silicone casing.

I freaked out when I thought I found a scratch on it and there was absolutely no decent protective case suitable for an iPod Classic. Why the hell are there so many iPod nano casings but none for the iPod Classic?! Hello shouldn't the mere inclusion of "classic" mean something?!

So yes, desperate I got the ugly silicone cover that will at least protect it from scratches and such and now I feel like I'm holding an extra protective unsellable hot pink condom -___-.

I finally found some decent iPod cases from gerbera designs though.

Anyone out there who knows where I can get any kind of good casings in Singapore, do tell!
I know I could get them at iPod online, but you know, cheaper alternative, heh :).

I feel the desperate need to impress :( or at least be more useful.
I brought work home, I'm just hoping it'll turn out fruitful.

I also seriously need to curb my spending.

Who's a happy bunny?!

Me, me, me!!!

This week has been pretty laidback, the entire office is soo much more calmer and for the first time since I'm there, some of my colleagues are leaving earlier than me! Cool. Then I got stuff!

Perfect wayfarers that do not fall off my nose/rest on my cheeks!

I think I should really go and get the book now.

And bestest best of all...

*HEARTS*
Fina-freaking-ly.
It looks even better than I imagined.
I've just about uploaded my whole iTune playlist into it and I still have A LOT of space.

Now I'm just looking for a decent casing. It's ridiculous how tough they are to find online.

I Make Uncool Glasses Cool. Coughs.

Aaaaaaaaah weekend, how I love you so.

I'm thinking I'm developing some sort of obsession for uncool eyewear.

Yeah, we so fly.

ANYWAY, real point of entry:

Grandpa reading glasses! Yet another gem find at favourite waste-time haunt, Daiso.

They're not exactly what I've been looking for, but they do have charm :).

Another Daiso find, the Caramel corn is my new snack obsession! The one is the foreground is condensed milk flavoured while the one at the back is coconut, which is surprisingly very very delicious.

10 more freaking weeks to go. Suck it up.

Electric Pop Stockings

I want to get coloured opaque stockings.

More specifically, Turquoise blue and Purple.

WeLoveColors have these in 45 colours! They also have patterned stockings and other hosiery, they all come in various candy colours.

And now I think hot pink and emerald green isn't so bad as well. The red looks hot as well.

One thing I MUST emphasize, stockings are NOT pants. Please and thank you.

I haven't gone shopping in a while, hmm.

I desperately need my girlfriends, hurray for the weekend.

Going Nuts for Eyewear

Woo, alright! 3 posts in one day! I feel like I have a lot more to blog about x_x.

I got these from FredFlare 2 days ago!

Imitation Rayban-inspired wayfarer shades!
I was torn between white and the red one, and I was leaning a lot towards getting the red one, but then I thought it looked too cartoon-ish, and I wasn't sure how the bright red would reflect against my skin colour.
So I got the safer boring white. Ho. Hum.

I also got Harry Potter glasses!!! SQUEAALLSS.
Can't wait for them to reach me.

Still looking for oversized vintage grandpa glasses.

Of the Quaint and the Quirky

I didn't realise I was not posting for quite some time. Anyway Friday was the last day of school for me and Monday will be the first day of internship!

Thank goodness I was there to hunt for the place first, it was nestled in the middle of these other shophouses and I almost couldn't find my way around, even with the help of a map.

Nonetheless, I'm quite excited :)

I can see colourful shophouses alongside dilapidated ones as well, awesome.

The place I'm interning at is located along this alleyway.
So quaint I could just die :)

I saw this mighty colourful quirky wallet from Bugis Street and I knew I had to get it. I wanted to get the nicest most perfect vintage sling bag I've ever touched but someone else bought it, booo.

An Elmer the Elephant wallet! It's a character from a children's book, in case you had no childhood, hmmmpphh.

Fine so Elmer was new to me as well, but isn't this adorable! It is imported from Japan, so I suppose it has to be cute? Anwyay, I was so tempted to buy the phone pouch and make-up case too.

Mandatory close-up shot :)

My Purse the Lunchbox

I want Lunchboxes!

I think they make such wacky yet fanciful hand purses. They'd make good conversation starters, which would be an ice-breaker for when I go for my internship.

No I am not inventing excuses to get them.

These from WickedCoolStuff are so so so so adorable!

This is my favourite and that's the biggest image size I managed to get -_-.
I miss Betty Boop cartoons.

Another Betty Boop favourite.
I like this sort of tin shape, it's so reminiscent of those glamourous hat boxes meant for travel.

Superman!
I love the shape of the tinbox and the comic-like images.

I was going to put a corny joke about Superman's tight clothes, but I think I'd better not.

I am absolutely indifferent towards CareBears but these are on sale, hence.

HELLO KITTY! I see you rolling your eyes.

A non-pink Hello Kitty lunch box in a cylinder shape.

Question: Do I get a quirky lunchbox, or that vintage leather sling bag?

Or I could walk away and contribute it to the LV Fund.

Wayfarers on the Low-End

I CAN'T SLEEP!!!

It's almost 4 in the morning and I think because I have to get to work early tomorrow I'm afraid of over-sleeping or something.

Anyway my eyes are wiiiidddeee open now and I want Ray-Ban Wayfarers!

[Source: Nordstrom]

True to my style, I'll probably get imitation ones.
Favorite quirk haunt Fred Flare has the nicest ones:

I'll look around locally though, I really don't feel like waiting for up to a month just for these shades.
I heard Forever21 has it, but I was at the Orchard branch today and I saw none. I'll probably check the one at Vivocity later, since I'll be working there anyway.

In other eye-decoration matters, this Harry Potter glasses are COOL!

And I see Talking japanese watches!
Sigh. Fred Flare never ceases to amaze.

Has the price of the final Harry Potter installment gone down yet?
It's about time I got it please.

Animal instinct on my hands

I like animal-themed jewellery pieces. And I mean only those that have gold and jewels on them.

Like these pieces by Kenneth Jay Lane from Max and Chloe.

MY personal favourite is the golden lizard encrusted with rubies and clear stones that I'll tell everyone are diamonds, and the adorable jade turtle.
