Spring '08 Wrap-Up: Prada

I just bought 2 dresses on ebay! Sorry LV Speedy, I'll go think through my actions now :(. Just spreed for 2 bags also! Sorry LV *bows repeatedly*

Something's wrong when you start humanising a bloody brand name x_x. Curse my superficiality.

Anyway! Prada.

This was an interesting collection. It's surprisingly darker, but still as eccentric.

The models look like unhappy fairies who just re-emerged for some serious business.

The interesting cuttings and shapes in the prettiest silk screens and chiffon that is unusually paired with tartan stockings pairing and attention seeking shoes makes this a favourite collection for me.

LV Speedy is still LoVe

Title is a weeee bit misleading but as much as I'd like to, the LV LoVe series is much more $$$, so no deviation from my old flame: the LV Speedy.

In Ireland the Louis Vuitton Speedy costs about SGD800 only!!! For the same price you can only get a second-hand here.

Promised my friend I'd post this so that she can check things out better and know which ones to get for me she'd want.

Gah I just realised how impersonal this blog is, my friends don't have names, they're just "my friends". Gahh.

My friend, Ting, is psyching me to get the LV Speedy from Ireland, and I don't know how she's doing it, but it's working -_- For the next 2 months I'll be having zero life thank you very much. *cries*

1) Monogram 30 vs Monogram 25

Seemingly the only difference between the 2 is size, so it would make sense to get the cheaper 25. Besides the size difference is not so great. Let me go look for the exact dimensions...

According to eLuxury.com:
Monogram 30
12" L x 8" H x 6.5" W
Monogram 25
10" L x 7" H x 6" W

But it's shape and number of prints are also different. While I think I'll be content if I get either, I prefer the more complete look of the Monogram 30.

2) Louis Vuitton Monogram Neverfull

Another bag to look out for would be the LV Neverfull, it's relatively affordable for its size and I love it because, no surprise, it's an oversized carry-all.

I saw someone carrying it and immediately took a liking to it. Because it's oversized it had a slight slouch that I really loved.

In fact I loved it so much, I almost stalked the person carrying it. I wondered why she kept sneaking glances at me and then hugging her bag tightly, lost me in the crowd.

In Singapore I heard it's sold out at boutiques I think, heard it's light as well.

Is it just me, or is the bucket bag becoming a new trend?

P.S. Hope that helps, Ting the fartface speedy :) Ireland is boring :P

P.S.S. Is it $SGD10 or SGD$10 or SGD10? Oops.

Bringing Sexyback with a lil' bit of Hoodie.

Today I woke up late and missed school!!! I'm such a rockstar.

Speaking of rockstars, I've always wanted to pull the blazer over hoodie look off ever since Justin Timberlake did it.

It's casual and effortless yet smart because of the formal blazer.

But I don't have blazers roomy enough/hoodies thin enough. And the weather here don't exactly call for this kind of layering. Meh, I'll figure something out.

Or perhaps I could use the foolproof jacket-hoodie combo too.

I don't know this model -_-
But I do know I want her leather jacket.

Agyness Deyn

I think Justin Timberlake is the coolest person ever, though he humbly denied and said George Clooney is. I would've agreed too, except Clooney belongs to my mother -_-.

More pictures of the sexyback because I know you want to be lovestoned. Don't know where they come from since they're from my, uh, personal folder. My... personal style inspiration folder, that's right *shifty eyes*.

Spring '08 Wrap-Up: Giles

If anything this show was confusing. It's all over the place with nature and tea party themes.

The show opened with a stiff denim dress and the last thing I expected was flowy gorgeous gowns and silk t-shirt dresses.

Although I can't quite grasp the concept Giles Deacon is trying to bring across, I can't deny that this is one gorgeous collection. This collection also mostly consists of beautifully tailored dresses, making this yet another favourite Spring collection.

With the kind of fabric and print in the collection, one could easily go overboard. But everything here is played in right proportion, so outfits like these turn out slightly eccentric yet still very wearable.

This has to be about my favourite piece out of the collection. I'm not sure whether it's just the cheekiness of the fox ear-ed head ornament, but I love the dress all the same.

Fashion is Obsession

I'm a happy bunny because in a span of 2 days I have 4 new dresses altogether! Whee. I was suppose to be looking for jeans 2 days ago but I found 2 dresses instead. Later on my ebay dress came in the mail! And today I found another perfect dress to add to my collection, it is JOY. I'll post photos soon!

Besides that my new timetable rocks!!!

Ok here are my current obsessions:

1. Dresses, obviously.

Many many dresses! I think the types of dresses I want are limitless, but from photos that I like, I'm thinking I like the whole chiffon vintage thing.

2. Nude pumps

These would be perfect, although with the price tag it better be.
This are quite some time ago so unfortunately I can't pinpoint the source of these images, oops :x
Christian Louboutin

Jimmy Choo

3. Grey Jeans

Not just any ol' grey jeans, I want those that are only slightly tapered and it has to be stretchy, since I want it to be mighty comfortable. Which is difficult since the skinny jeans isn't about to die anytime soon and popular as ever.

Honestly do not know what kind of cutting I'm looking for, so I simply searched for 'grey jeans' on shopbop -_-||

4. Vintage suitcases

Or briefcases, whichever. I want them for cheap, too, so I'm still scouring Ebay.

Spring '08 Wrap-Up: Zac Posen

Yet another one of my favourite collections, Zac Posen's creations were absolutely gorgeous. About every shape is tastefully done, be it deconstruction, pleats or ruffles.

Spring '08 Wrap-Up: Betsey Johnson

School is starting on monday! Which explains the slow update - been trying to make full use of whatever holiday that's left! Now to figure out how to appease my mom and regain some lost sleep :(

Anyway, it's retro Prom night at Betsey Johnson.

Adorable pouffy dresses with layers and layers of tulle in a yummy bubblegum colour palette makes me wish we had a better prom.

I like how there're different looks for different, uh, cliques. Heh.

Another thing to love - the quirky and genius accessorising.

I found some gorgeous purses myself and I'll upload them asap.
Uploading is such a hassle now. Hate losing things *grumbles*

Spring '08 Wrap-Up: Anna Sui

Another favourite collection from Fashion week, Anna Sui.

This collection is crazy rocking!

The edgy hair, happy-looking models, the burst of the wonderful mixture of colour, texture and print that is so reminiscent of Anna Sui all come together to form pretty punk rock of every appealing form.
