Jellies

Just when we're dying to yank off gladiators off the next pair of guilty feet and burn them in front of its sobbing owners, the jellies makes a return appearance.

Orthopedic shoes jellies! These are cute.

I actually miss my jelly slip-ons. Mine are broken.

Stalest Post EVER : Gladiator Sandals.

Today I am upset because

1) I bought a lousy drugstore house brand hair straightener and IT SUCKS ASS. It's sole intention was to curl hair (I know right, but search it on youtube!) and it's cheaper than a hair curler itself hence. It's hopeless as a straightener also so I don't know what to do with it.

2) of the things I do for others which leaves me looking impatient, pesky and silly.

So to counter these I:

1) Ordered more cheap makeup online. Pictures and reviews of haul #1 soon!

2) Am ordering shoes online. Not that I think it will, but if the US dollar would depreciate further I'd be ecstatic.

So many gladiator sandals are on sale! Yaaay for it being passe and corny and yaaaay for me not to care! These are from GoJane.com.

Hot pink, need I say more?

One tip though, sandals with straps that will go above your ankles will cut your legs, so if you have short legs, avoid them. Best to get those with a slight wedge. Or you know, a full heel, whatevs.

For some reason I call these Jesus sandals, must've seen it in some movie.

I initially thought these look trying-too-hard-ish, but upon close-up and bigger view, I actually think these might look quite hot.

These were not the ones I purchase, but I'm a true believer of things getting jinxed. You have no idea the suicidal feeling of waiting and anticipating for days only to be told that your item is OOS.

Couture! Yay! Soon-to-be-made post.

By the way, holiday status = pending. pending. PENDING. FREAKING PENDING. I kinda proclaimed that I can go by myself, sort of like a bridging into independence and *ahem* womanhood kinda thing, but I am sissy enough to say I'm not ready!

Damn! I've not showered and America's Next Top Model is on soon! Ciao!

Thursday's a day from Friday

The best thing about going to work and not being able to wear whatever you want, is that you're forced to plan outfits. I like :) That way I reaaaallly don't become lazy and wear the typical woke-up-late outfits to work, like I used to to school.

What would make work perfect is if I don't snack all the damn time. My colleagues dub me the vacuum because I eat everything they throw my way.

Anyway, today's outfit.

Chiffon bubble dress, black cardigan, white belt.

I don't like bubbling of the hem in my dresses/skirts, but I didn't want to waste the dress [it was on sale -_-]so I balanced it out by wearing a cardigan over and belting the waist to create a defined silhouette.

Which is why I think outerwear is such a great lifesaver piece to have. It transforms the outfit, be it to hide it or enhance the look. So I'm still thinking about investing in that tailored blazer; now that I'm trying to be independent and not get money from my parents, I've come to realise that penny pinching is a great ability [yes, I am considering it an ability] to have.

Went shopping yesterday, bought shoes and a dress in... brilliant purple *surprise, surprise*.

The most fantabulous navy blue platform sandal wedges that make me wobble when I walk in them. LOVE. I was going to wear them today but it was raining and I would risk a lot of things when it comes to fashion, but not toppling over face first in a downpour.

Hope it rains again tomorrow, I have a cold-day outfit planned already.

Mary Jane my Pumps

I've been extremely busy! Work + driving after work + mandatory meetups with people I must share my work stories with + uni application rush = no time for anything else! In fact I couldn't even clock in enough sleep :(

Meanwhile, I am obsessed with candy-coloured pumps! I'm absolutely enamoured by the shoe collection over at GoJane.

Next on my shoe list: Mary Jane pumps. I need to try them out at stores first though, straps don't look good on everyone (short and stumpy, helloooo.)

My absolute fave; baby pink double strap pumps:

I'm surprised that I like the baby pink, I'm usually more comfortable with brighter and deeper pinks.

By the way, I really like my work: seemingly mundane, but can be very engaging.
Can't wear jeans though. I'm going to push a little and wear a t-shirt tomorrow. I went crazy with tees a while ago and it's a pity if I leave them alone. Anyway, iIt's only my first week, I can afford mistakes.

Technicolour Sneakers

Un-emofied, thank goodness!

Recently I've been witnessing the technicolour plague.

First there were the skinny jeans that would look prettier in the wardrobe if you buy a whole array of them and hung them together, then there were mineral make-up pigment powder that you can use for apparently everything, and then the dresses with rainbow stripes and artsy-fartsy patterns.

Then there were the sneakers. The bright neon splashed sneakers have a more retro old-school era to it.

They look like clowns threw up all over them and I am strangely attracted to them.

Is it a little foolish to buy boots for only one occasion?

Hot Topic Sale on Sale

My Threadless tees are here! Well, not here here, they're in Singapore at least -__-.

Anywaaay just thought I'd let you in on a little sale.

Hot Topic is having a further 50% off the clearance rack, coolnessess.

The shoes are dirt cheap! Makes me think how much (or how little) the labour making the shoes are being paid :s Anyway, the shoes don't look like crap.

These vinyl totes are tres adorable.

Oh looky! Hello Kitty! For the sake of my own sanity I resisted getting it.

And then there were t-shirts, but of course.

I was tempted to go nuts but eventually I got only one Junk Food tshirt; Debbie Harry wins over David Bowie yeaaaaahhh :)

It's near new years but I'm broke! Eeeps.
What else do you do when you're still suffering from bouts of cough and a very runny nose despite getting so many days of rest + gallons of water + medicine + bitter chinese medicine brews? Help.

Stylish Storage for Stylish Shoes

I WANT THIS:

It comes in 3 easy colours.
White

Black

This time round conventional silver wins for me.

Freaking cool design marries practicality = sexy love.
Up to 30 shoes can be stored, and each shoe pocket are easily adjustable to fit all sorts of shoes including heels, flats, and sneakers.

But oh, the price.
It use to be $99 but now its $129.

I asked my mom and she went into this humongous super long lecture about the importance of frugality... and then about my having too many shoes... and then for having such a messy shoe section and then for having a messy room in whole... and then about my lack of resourcefulness.

And then I iPodded -___-.

You can get the Shoe Wheel here.

My last post was 5 days ago?! I hate it when I don't update.

Gorgeous Snake on my Sandals!

GASP.

[Source: GoJane]

I WANT.

IF the snake was made from crystals instead of beads. Beads look cheap!
Not that I can afford swarovzski [spelling?] crystals anyway but I'm sure you can find cheap ones around. Right?

Oh, but the snake *drools*

Cheap on Halloween

Boo. I really wanted to go to a Halloween party tonight but my mom didn't allow me to, as usual. I probably shouldn't have gone out in the day -_-.

I even saw some costumes! They were verrrryyy cheap over at Bugis area, especially in this one store in Sim Lim Tower. I didn't buy any though, I thought devils were cheesy and I'm not going as some ugly monstrosity... literally. I thought the fake claws were so cool, though! But in a club setting... maybe not too practical :s.

But eventually if I could go I would have gone as an 80s dancer sans tube socks - nobody seems to stock them anymore, hmm.

I'm not going so the only reason why I'm even bothering to write about what I would have gone as is to make myself feel better.

Is it working? Not so much.

I did get myself... jelly shoes -_-.

See, I already own a pair, lemme dig for a photo...

So yes, those are the jelly peep-toes that I got and my nude pumps from Charles and Keith.

They're not platform like the gorgeous Christian Louboutin ones but with my budget of $50 they're the best I could find. They're surprisingly comfortable, so yay for that.

The umbrella is another gorgeous find from Daiso, hence only $2. My friend thinks it's sad that I've never owned a transparent umbrella. Never owned? Hell, I've never even seen this in abundance before!

Anyway these were the ones that I exactly want!

The ones that looks like the Urban Outfitters one.

It came in two shades of, uh, transparent. One is clear the other is tinted black.
The tinted one looked nicer but I opted for the clear one because I wanted it to look as outrightly cheap as possible.
Everyone knows they're dirt cheap, so let's just go for the most unassuming one.

First the tube socks... now jelly shoes... what is happening to me! Revert to less tackier self now! *What less tackier self hurhur.*

Just so you know, I still don't know when Halloween is.

Impromptu Shoe Shopping

Yay, I feel awesome today despite not sleeping for 2 nights straight. Napping for 1 hour is not sleeping.

Anyway, all the deadly projects are done and I should be catching up on some sleep right now but I just had coffee. Plus I wanted to catch up on some online shopping and blogging and Facebooking, heh.

Happy as I am, I decided to get new shoes on my way home.

Floral wedges!
Currently I have no outfit in mind to wear this with. Meh, I'll think of something.
They're slightly big, but I'm hoping the strap will won't make my feet slide too much.

Turquoise round-toe pumps!
I was choosing between this dotted pair or another turquoise sharp-point heel. I really liked the sharp-point faux snakeskin heels but the heels didn't look streamlined to me, which was why I decided to get the cuter round pumps which are sure to hurt as hell.

Trying a little trick at the moment:

Wear thick socks, or wear layers of socks and walk around the house everywhere.

The trick is supposed to stretch the shoes a bit so that it'll feel more comfortable because of the expansion.

When I asked for advise, the shoe shop saleslady said that sharp-point heels elongates the legs while round toe pumps makes the feet appear smaller.
Interesting, I didn't notice.

To Oxford... or Not to Oxford.

Woo hoo just came back from a midnight practice drive.

I am crazy lemming for... Oxfords. Or jazz shoes. Honestly speaking, I do not know how to differentiate the two so when I'm less ignorant I'll categorise them properly -_-.

Gaaaaaaah, but I'm supposed to be on a shopping fast! Not even a strict diet, a full-on fast! I have some shoe money set aside, but those are reserved for my nude pumps.

Not that I could find some decent (and affordable) ones in Singapore or on Ebay anyway. The only ones I could ever find were these as I later found out Irregular Choice tuxedo oxfords.

These, more affordable hence more coveted ones, are from Urban Outfitters.

I love the red jazz flats, it comes in black too which is what I'd probably get seeing as how I already have a pair of red shoes and ugly black ones.

But I... simply... CAN'T.

Prioritise! PRIORITISE!
PRIORI-FREAKING-TISE!
PRIORI-LV-TISE!

Eeeks! A dress spree!

I'm hopeless. Ciao.

Ready for some Jelly

I think I may have succumbed to the quiet alluring powers of... the Jelly shoes aka Gummy shoes.

When Marc Jacobs first created shoes out of jelly I thought it was okay, but very passable. Then I saw a lot of replicas and my mind completely shut out the jelly shoes.

[Source]
Marc Jacobs Jelly Ballet

Marc by Marc Jacobs Jelly Peep-Toes

He also made Gladiator sandals using the, uh, jelly but those are just ugly.

Not that I thought they were ugly [except the gladiator sandals], I simply thought nothing of it and immediately assumed it's probably painful and I'll end up with stinky feet because the entire shoe is made out of suffocating plastic.

But recently I've been looking through the many sprees selling these shoes for extremely cheap. Instead of bombing more than $100 on the Marc Jacobs ones I could get them for less than $10.

And then people I don't know were giving good reviews about them.

And then people I know also raved about its comfort and proudly exclaiming they have several other pairs in different colours.

And everyone says they don't stink.

So you know what, I think I'm bought.

I bought the Crocs Prima hoping for comfortable casual shoes but that was a long-run fluke. These are waaaaay cheaper and look so non-fussy that you could probably wear them with anything you want.

I, too, have decided that I want to feel pretty in a dress and transparent jelly shoes.

I quite like the netted design, like those from Urban Outfitters.

Irregular Choice should be MY regular

The past couple of days I've been nursing myself from a movie marathon all-nighter that was fuelled by junk food! On top of that it's that time of the month so needless to say, the next morning my face looked like it got attacked by deranged mosquitos.

Anyway back to the things you care about, SHOES! Irregular Choice shoes!

They have just about every type of shoe a girl could ever need and more! They're also gorgeously lusty so your friends might have to kill you for them.

At least I'd kill for them, especially if they look like these:

Blythe doll shoes! Yum.

According to Seventeen magazine, you can get them from Surrealist Love Scene. According to them Gwen Stefani is a fan! Well then sign me up!

Surrealist Love Scene also has Hellz Bellz! Coolness, should pay them a visit some time.

When I'm not terribly broke -______-
