I have no life but I have extreme high-waist jeans

I've been so bogged down lately. As I'm typing I'm procrastinating from finishing a report.

I did manage to squeeze in shopping time last weekend though, and even that was after a project meeting. Happy Mumsy's Day by the way.

Right, so popped by Topshop at Marina Square and one section was dedicated to clearance items! One thing though, no sizes for me.

I've always wanted to get paperbag wide-leg pants, and a lot were on clearance. They didn't have it in my size but I still tried some on for kicks.


I did spot ONE pair of jeans in my size, and I grabbed it immediately without bothering to look at it.

They were Ann-Sofie Back [pardon my ignorance but who?] for Topshop line and they were crazy high-waisted jeans. Now high-waisted tight things are one trend I'll never understand.

Basically it does nuts for the figure.

And gives me the longest and widest butt EVER.

YET I LOVE IT.

It does have nice tapering, and I like the wash.
And like my friend said, "no need to worry about ugly buttcracks."

PLUS, it was bloody cheap. Hell, it's even cheaper than cheap jeans, heh.

I went home happy with good company and a pair of jeans, and ate some early mum's day cake with my mother while watching a horror movie. The week is salvaged :).

Tale of the Pink Bike and the Red Dress

Ask me why I want to wear a dress when I bike.

It's all about the image, baby.

Unfortunately I don't have a pretty dress that is flowy for practical reasons, nor do I have a pink bike. Or a working bicycle for that matter.

And during the blue moon that I do go biking I'd probably have to rent it so the bike is usually the typical ugly grey ones.

So the story ends before it even began.

She's also wearing transparent jelly flats.

Now I see jelly flats everywhere, and I mean EVERYWHERE, and it's just one of those things that I neither hate nor love.

It's pretty obvious I'm a bloody cheapskate and jelly shoes are pretty cheap [you can get them for about $10 per pair?] and I heard they're comfortable. Yet I still feel nothing for it. Hmm.

Joyce Shop

So I'm abstaining from any form of shopping [I use to rationale with myself that online shopping isn't really proper shopping] because I've already bought items which I've yet to wear out.

But Taiwanese shop Joyce Shop was a pleasure to browse through because of extensive collection that's quite regularly updated and their catalogue pictures are always so fun.

I've always wanted to buy fabric and make my own skirts, but as usual I never did get round to it. I like the skirts, where they're in that awkward length of being neither long nor short.

Dresses are LOVE.

I have some pent-up energy so I modelled the dresses I bought recently that were similar looking but they were darn cheap and I really really love them! Whee.

Just have to find an occasion to wear them out to though, not wearing pretty things to school x_x. Already have a couple of events booked for them, yay!



What? I think I'm a glam poser can.

Actually there're 2 more dresses, one is all pretty and chiffon the other is casual summery but I felt too lazy to change again.

Wetseal top came in the mail yesterday!


From the picture I was a little concerned that it might puff me up and make me look awkward, but when I got it I decided I didn't care since I need to shop and it was darn cheap.

Well. I daresay it fits me gorgeously :)

Kate Moss for Topshop: overrated.

I know I know, a little too late and I'm sure everyone has read about the Kate Moss for Topshop line.

Personally I thought there was nothing really outstanding in the collection, since every piece looked like what topshop factory out normally anyways. I suppose you can still pick a couple of looks to be inspired by.

And while I love the lazy elegance concept, the lookbook collection is just too um, much-effort-for-effortless. Eh well, such is fashion, there's a fine line for everything.

Anyway. Because you have to know what I like, these are my personal faves. Is it a little strange that I liked whatever Irina Lazareanu wore in the lookbook?

I like this look because Elva Hsiao wore it in her latest awesome music video, heh.
Except Elva looks cool and has styled hair.
I hope I'm not intending to buy new white sneakers just for the sake of this outfit :s

Today's a really great day because my Wet Seal came in the mail! The dress I wanted was out of stock, but I recently bought waaaaaaaay too many dresses and have not worn most of them out yet anyway.

Wetseal should hire me as their Sale advocator or something.

A.P.C. minimalistic love

My apologies are overused!

School was keeping me superrrr busy and tired but today I gave myself a break because I skipped all lessons today! HArdly rested though, felt so happy sleeping in that I had to meet up with my bestie. Anyhappyway.

I love looking through A.P.C.'s lookbook. They're minimalistic, without compromising on style. There's also this sort of casual effortlessness that of course, I love.

They always seem to have things that I covet. This time round I really really want the tube dress and gladiator sandals.



Perhaps its because they take trends and don't overload. I love that they don't make the wearer look like a trend whore.
