Wear File: The Greyness of Comfort

Oh yay one collage done.

I did mean it to look like it had more effort but I just didn't feel like it I thought the clean neat look is best.

Grey Oversized sweater from Miss Selfridge, Striped skirt which was on sale, Converse Hi-tops.

Ooooh, I just found a whole folder of pictures I was too busy to care about last time! Cool! I'll go do more collages now bye!!!

Kate Moss for Topshop: overrated.

I know I know, a little too late and I'm sure everyone has read about the Kate Moss for Topshop line.

Personally I thought there was nothing really outstanding in the collection, since every piece looked like what topshop factory out normally anyways. I suppose you can still pick a couple of looks to be inspired by.

And while I love the lazy elegance concept, the lookbook collection is just too um, much-effort-for-effortless. Eh well, such is fashion, there's a fine line for everything.

Anyway. Because you have to know what I like, these are my personal faves. Is it a little strange that I liked whatever Irina Lazareanu wore in the lookbook?

I like this look because Elva Hsiao wore it in her latest awesome music video, heh.
Except Elva looks cool and has styled hair.
I hope I'm not intending to buy new white sneakers just for the sake of this outfit :s

Fall '07 Wrap Up: Favourite Looks

Right, I'll do a wrap-up of New York Fall '07. I didn't know whether to do a favourite look or label catergorisation, so I think I'll do both. Heh.

1) Shirt Dress over Dress Shirt

It is simply the layering of a dressy shirt, under a shorter sleeved dress.

3.1 Phillip Lim

Anne Klein

Stærk

Rag and Bone

Fine, this is really a cardigan not a dress, but I love the look anyway so ha.

2) Grey is here to Stay

Surprise, surprise. Although grey is practically everywhere, I'm still not sick of it.

Costello Tagliapietra

Rag and Bone

Tory Burch

Yigal Azrouel

3) Purple Reigns

Flashes of purple were aplenty. Go bold with an all-purple ensemble or subtle with purple tights.

Malandrino

DKNY

Zac Posen

Michon Schur

4) Hoodie is Love

Because I love hoodies! But hey, at least I'm not the only one, the hoodie made plenty of appearances on the runway.

One thing though, they all made actual use of the hood. Usually hoods just flop at the back of your neck.

I love this look though, I shall attempt to do this next time without feeling stupid. Althought the fact that I'm even worrying it'd look stupid should tell me enough. Bah.
