Bringing Lazyback, yeeah.

Whenever I go out, I'll tend to put some effort because I'm excited I'm not going out to work, and then add in a little extra effort to look slightly less glam. Like throwing in a comfy cardigan or wearing non-fussy flats.

You know, to reflect how my mood, which I've come to realise is always lazy. Ludicrous, I know, putting in extra effort to look lazy *rolls eyes*.

Anywaaayyy, I found lazy inspirations. Imagine that. I should probably find another word for lazy, it's getting way too repetitive. Meh, too lazy. Lazy lazy lazy.

I know her feet are covered by the copyright mark but I think you can tell she's wearing slippers. She managed to pull off slippers with that dressed-up outfit. And strangely enough, I think she wouldn't have exuded that same effortless feel if she was wearing anything else BUT slippers.

I secretly think she's mocking slippers-abhorring stuck-ups.

Though I am still against pairing skinnies with slippers. Don't do that, please. It's just sloppy.

Soooo Angelina Jolie. Casual, laidback with a punch of posh with foolproof Chanel handbag and oversized glasses.

iCandy for the Asian Culture Enthusiast

I realise I don't post that much about clothes anymore and was kinda hoping noone would notice, heh. Excuse: WORK *beams and wishes am getting away with it*

ANYWAY.

I really love these asian-inspired pieces from online boutique Asian iCandy.

Now I'm inspired to desperately yearn for a regional holiday. Take me to Thailand, China/Hong Kong, and Korea. And Japan, of course, everyone wants to go to Japan.

HOL-I-DAAAAAAYYY!

The Asian-ified Mullet

Months back, the ugly mullet found its way into Asian shores and we were lapping it up.
Strangely I dig it as well. Especially ever since I saw this image a couple months back.

This hair rocks because it has the choppy shagginess about it that I really love.
Who knew spikes and soft curls could look great together?

That's Mika Nakashima, some famous Japanese singer apparently. I was trying to describe her to my friends but I really couldn't remember her name. When I got access to my laptop I was trying to figure it out and it was not until some time later that I realise her name is stated clearly at the top of the photo -_-. Blonde moment, much.

Anyway, while trying to describe Mika Nakashima, one of my friends thought I meant Boa.
And then I remembered her fierce do in the Girls On Top video.

Sigh. Again I wish I have a bevy of hair stylists at my beck and call.

I dyed my hair last week which led to pretty disastrous results. Because I felt like I had no life I decided to blondify myself. I don't think I need to go on, do I?

Off to find a more practical hair-do/not-ugly hair colour.

Bringing Sexyback with a lil' bit of Hoodie.

Today I woke up late and missed school!!! I'm such a rockstar.

Speaking of rockstars, I've always wanted to pull the blazer over hoodie look off ever since Justin Timberlake did it.

It's casual and effortless yet smart because of the formal blazer.

But I don't have blazers roomy enough/hoodies thin enough. And the weather here don't exactly call for this kind of layering. Meh, I'll figure something out.

Or perhaps I could use the foolproof jacket-hoodie combo too.

I don't know this model -_-
But I do know I want her leather jacket.

Agyness Deyn

I think Justin Timberlake is the coolest person ever, though he humbly denied and said George Clooney is. I would've agreed too, except Clooney belongs to my mother -_-.

More pictures of the sexyback because I know you want to be lovestoned. Don't know where they come from since they're from my, uh, personal folder. My... personal style inspiration folder, that's right *shifty eyes*.

RAWRRR.

Vivi: Shoes

Another Vivi magazine installment!

They love their shoes!

It was obvious that this month's shoe spotlight belongs to the booties. There were more pages dedicated to them. I still don't like booties, but the ones they featured looked bearable. Or at least the models wearing the booties looked good.

I wouldn't mind owning the oxford booties which really actually just looked like oxfords with heels. They are the bottom pair on the left side of the page: click to enlarge [though a little blur, didn't seem that blur when I took the photo]

Yeah, well, I'm thinking my mother is wrong and that I do not have enough shoes.

Hilarious korean variety shows are taking up the bulk of my time :)
I'm beginning to watch korean dramas as well; it's crazy that my uncle watches them -__-.

Vivi Magazine: Oversized Blazers

Why is it that I have not bought Japanese magazines before?

I borrowed a friend's Vivi magazine, with super cool Namie Amuro on its cover. The number of clothes in there in incredulous! Pages after pages of clothes, shoes, bags, even hair and make-up tutorials!

It doesn't matter that I can't understand a word in there, the pictures are enough to keep me hooked on to it. I wanted to get the same issue but it was sold out, so I got JJ instead.

I was planning to do a collage of the things that I liked but since I don't have the time, instead of featuring the magazine in one post, I'll just do multiple posts, yaaay.

Namie Amuro on the cover.

My favourite out of her photospread, because of the jacket and the corset thing.

I really need an oversized blazer. I've been meaning to get one a long time ago but I simply could not find one that looks decent. I even went as far as to wanting to get a men's one instead, but the shoulders were waaaay too broad.

I'd kill for one of these perfect oversized blazers featured.

Speaking of all things Japanese [fine, so only the magazine, whatever] I also had a bit of a Japanese food invasion.

Cold Salmon Don.
For some reason I've been craving for Salmon. And I don't even like Salmon that much -_-

Salmon rice thingy at Pepper Lunch. Love it. This was after a movie and I actually left my wallet in the theatres.

Concerned friend: Let's go back now, maybe it's still there. We'll tell them to cancel our order [or something to this effect]
Me: Meh, let's wait for the food instead.

Fyi, went back after enjoying the meal, got my wallet back :) Like my wise *coughs* bestie aptly puts it, if it's meant to be lost, it's meant to be lost.

Uzumaki ice-cream that's overrated and over-priced. $4 per cone? I'd rather get gelato.
The bubble tea ice-cream doesn't taste like milk tea at all, the green tea ice-cream was better, but still not enough of the matcha taste.

Oh yes, Vivi even featured the Creative Zen Stone! Totally my sign to go get it now now NOW.

And helped switch me back to Singaporean mode, which is good because tomorrow is National DAY!!!

I should totally do a red and white post..... IF I could afford to deviate from crazy-ass project.

Shopping for the Head

A couple of friends have expressed their desire to have one of these:

Sorta loose Rastafarian-kind beanies.

Now, I got myself a beanie a while back because I thought it was cute, but the weather here realllllllyyyy limits the number of days I could actually wear them out.

I lent it to a friend who's going to freezing cold China and she's returned it to me but I have no idea where it is -_-"

Anyway, Urban Outfitters has some:

Apparently they're called berets? I thought berets are those painter caps like this:

[Source]

Anyway, I myself am going to get me a cap that fits! My mom tells me not to waste the money because I just bought myself a grey cadet cap. And I do have a cap.

But, a cap cap is different from a cadet cap. And the cap I have looks funny :(. Fine, it looks funny on me, whatever.

On a random note, I was shopping with my mother today and she kept asking me if there's anything I'd like and I actually said NO. At one point she even showed sincere concern and asked if I'm really really sure -__-|||.

Either I'm going mad or the current shopping scene just isn't doing it for me. I keep seeing better AND cheaper things online.

Loungewear Out

I know I'm all for effortless-ness, but this is really pushing the limit.

What the hell. I love it.

Very Cool.

Uninspired and Missing Skirts

I am tired, dead beat, tomorrow is Saturday and I have to wake up extremely early because I have driving at 8 in the morning.

I also can't seem to get inspiration to do design work for a couple of projects.

Oh, one more thing. I really, really, really miss wearing pretty skirts :(

I think I'm PMS-ing. I'm lamenting over life and being uninspired all over and junk.

Sweet dreams.
