Surge of urge to blog!
For seemingly no rhyme nor reason, I simply stopped blogging.
I think it was because my laptop was creating hell for me. It was incredibly slow, and it stopped producing any type of sound. The only reason why I used it was to do work and check email and all the other non-fun stuff.
But since last week the laptop was fixed, and I'm beginning to like it a lot more. For starters I can continue my Gossip Girl dose. What is it about bitchy tween shows that I like. I'm only at episode 11 of season 1. I know, season 1, still? Uggggghhhh but I loooveee Vanessa, have you seen what the girl puts on?
In relation to something more fashiony, I FINALLY went round to going through the old magazines and ripping out only pages that I like and filing them. And I found out that I really, reaaaaalllyy enjoy doing this seemingly arduous task. Maybe I'll scan some.
I'm also going into 'green' mode. I'm sending stuff out to recycle, I'm not throwing out as much junk, I'm refusing plastic bags when I go shopping - much to my mom's dismay. Going green-er (I wouldn't say "green" because I'm still wasting stuff, unfortch) has also kicked in some sort of weird mode.
The anal-unclutter-er mode. I went through the entire room (except for an untouchable section which belongs to the mom) and sorted, organised, uncluttered everything possible. Now I'm happier because everything has a place and I don't lose stuff anymore. My clothes look a thousand times better when neatly organised and appropriately hung, I feel happier looking at my makeup stuff, and I no longer rush about the house looking for going-out essentials. Peace is good.
In other not-peace-inducing news, I lost my freaking iPod.
Maybe I'll post something more interesting tomorrow. Yeah.

Happy OH to the NINE
Overdue but HAPPY NEW YEAR :)
2008 seems like a blur of a whirlwind that currently at 2 in the morning and groggy but insomniac, I can only remember the past month. Which is easy, considering it mostly involves me working my ass off. And picking the old noodle a tiny bit, I remember 2008 as housing one of the most intense moment of my life, almost breaking me with tempts and emotions.
And then the past week was the one week I finally took a break, and school starts this week. Woohoo. That's right I'm cheering for school because it's an engine things to begin.
You know how they say the new year should begin positively, as it reflects how the rest of your year are going to be like? Hm.
On the eve of new year's eve, I caught up with old friends. On new year's eve, bestie and I got high over Ponyo Ponyo and Kung Fu Milk Tea and talking about playing dance dance revolution on Wii and then rushed home to watch The Little Nyonya. Which means we both spent new year's at home :). And screaming a hearty HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! out the window when the clock strikes. Fun fun fun I love it when my mom calls me crazy.
And then the next day I went across the border via the new checkpoint - super easy and fuss-free that I heaved a huge sigh of relief that FINALLY it's been done. I fought with my mom over the most silliest thing ever, but I found out what a cool aunt I have and how unconsciously comfortable I was with her.
Then shortly after, I made a bad decision over something I should've known better. I'll be over it, I always do. On the bright side, I was grasping at hopes and dreams that didn't die, and I discovered things about myself that were crucial in keeping my head high.
Oh, and it's funny what hearing "I like your groove-" does to you. Yeeeaaaah baby I'm groooovy.
The next day, I had a phone fight with my dad.
Hmm. Bittersweet beginnings, bittersweet year?
Resolution #1: Not only to be financially independent, but take risks. Studentry is the perfect excuse.
Resolution #2: Rediscover passion that I've lost and let lost in youthful ignorance.
Resolution #3: Treasure the friends I have and have made, and don't kill myself over those who... are plagued with circumstances.
Resolution #4: Travel more yoooo.
I'm sure I'll randomly come up with resolutions here and there that I'll eventually forget about until I fulfill it.
Typing out my 2 am thoughts is relieving. Resolution #5: Blog more.
Happy New Year, and cheers.

New Layout!
Cheeecck it out, new banner header! *points up excitedly*
I'm suppose to be starting on at least one of two major assignments but Iwas lazy didn't want to do it procrastinated got decided to rest and play around blogger for a while.
I never knew such a feature existed! You can do up a foolproof layout by toggling a few things here and there. I heart blogger.
Ok back to work for real. Maybe just a very rough outline. Veerrry rough.

Its..... supercalifragilisticexpialidochos!
I know, I know, it's like I died and my ghost can't even be bothered to continue my life.
In short, school+love and involvement of another interest+general absence of inspiration+how snobbish I felt I became because of this blog (and from reading other equally snobbish blogs) = what was thought to be the end of this monologue. But renewed interest and a kick in the hiney has prompted me to return.
Oh, and in quoting, uh, someone not famous, "Respect all styleeezzzzzz." Word. Haha.
I was in fact thinking of starting afresh altogether, move to a new blog with a cooler and less supercilious name, but true to my short attention span (and laziness), I abandoned the idea.
I'll be back with a goddess full of folly entries sooner than you can say with great celerity supercalifragilisticexpialidochos. By the way, I rocking can, Mary Poppins was my tween-age fascination.
Love.

Stalest Post EVER : Gladiator Sandals.
Today I am upset because
1) I bought a lousy drugstore house brand hair straightener and IT SUCKS ASS. It's sole intention was to curl hair (I know right, but search it on youtube!) and it's cheaper than a hair curler itself hence. It's hopeless as a straightener also so I don't know what to do with it.
2) of the things I do for others which leaves me looking impatient, pesky and silly.
So to counter these I:
1) Ordered more cheap makeup online. Pictures and reviews of haul #1 soon!
2) Am ordering shoes online. Not that I think it will, but if the US dollar would depreciate further I'd be ecstatic.
So many gladiator sandals are on sale! Yaaay for it being passe and corny and yaaaay for me not to care! These are from GoJane.com.

These were not the ones I purchase, but I'm a true believer of things getting jinxed. You have no idea the suicidal feeling of waiting and anticipating for days only to be told that your item is OOS.
Couture! Yay! Soon-to-be-made post.
***
By the way, holiday status = pending. pending. PENDING. FREAKING PENDING. I kinda proclaimed that I can go by myself, sort of like a bridging into independence and *ahem* womanhood kinda thing, but I am sissy enough to say I'm not ready!
Damn! I've not showered and America's Next Top Model is on soon! Ciao!

Hot pink, need I say more?
One tip though, sandals with straps that will go above your ankles will cut your legs, so if you have short legs, avoid them. Best to get those with a slight wedge. Or you know, a full heel, whatevs.

For some reason I call these Jesus sandals, must've seen it in some movie.

I initially thought these look trying-too-hard-ish, but upon close-up and bigger view, I actually think these might look quite hot.

Pattern Pandemonium
I'm sooo upset right now because I can't seem to download Photoshop. I have officially stopped photographing simply because I can't upload them onto my laptop. Upset.
Rants aside, I didn't realise how far I've been gone from blogging until I looked at my last post which was almost 2 weeks ago.
I miss patterns.

Off to watch Kung Fu Panda now! Yaaay I like Pixar/Dreamworks movies! I actually mistook the name for "Panda-monium", because of some mag article title, so imagine my friends' perplexed faces.

Fantastic shots and the chaotic arrangement is inspiring.
Those hand-painted tattoos makes me want to draw up random sketchings on my stockings - something I saw from someone's blog a looonng while ago (can't remember which, uber sorry). But then again, my relationship with DIY has never been smooth.

Get-Away Styles #1
How can I NOT think of holidays?!
According to GAP's designer, Patrick Robinson, these are the must-haves in your luggage.
I love these button shirts for shopping trips because they're easy to change out of and into.
Only one thing though, I have yet to find one that does not require ironing -__-.
And throw in your swimmies, a weekender's tote, lightweight scarf for chilly nights and flip flops.
Heads up, a lot of online sites are having swimsuit sales! My bestie and I splurged on them for our confirmed yet not confirmed holiday trip. Can't wait for them to arrive *rubs palms together*.
I have about one and a half more months to make my plans concrete! When I told my friends I get only 2 reactions: sceptical ones and enthusiastic I-wanna-tag-along ones. For now the sceptical ones are reaaalllyyy beginning to prove their point -__-.

A little bit of Gingham on my Swimmies
Long story short, laptop was sent for servicing, fully re-formatted, now in the process of uploading things - mostly iPod matters, so troublesome tsk.
Recently I've been having quite silly little arguments with my parents, mostly over the issue of surviving versus living. No duh which I was strongly advocating.
Tsks the generation gap.
Anyway remotely relating and because of the unbelievably humid + hot weather nowadays, I really like these retro gingham swimsuits from ever-faithful UrbanOutfitters.

Plaid is getting a little tiresome, but I still like them on swimsuits :)
*LIVING!*
***
I am so bored of work! I mean I'm kept very busy and all, but it's very dreary! I don't know how people can stand working in one place for 10 years unless they're their own boss.
And the most awesomest dinner with my girls, it's been a while since ALL of us could make it :)

My Lomo Obsession
With regards to the lomography post, of course digital photos can be manipulated thanks (or no thanks) to Photoshop.
Obsession: Vanity and Lipsticks.
Chanel so delicious but so un-affordable.
Found an alternative for the shade I wanted though, yay-ness.
Obsession: Luggage.
Ok this is too tiny to be considered luggage, but I love it's vintage-ery.
Holiday, holiday, holiday.

But hey, what's the fun in not being able to lug around a big camera?
My brother's flying off to Thailand for 3 weeks for National Service tonight!
Off to send him off! Bye! Off.

Lomo Cams
It's a few days till the Songkran festival in Thailand and I can't believe I'm missing it. Just a few months ago my friends and I were seriously planning to make the trip, that is until we all got jobs [or stopped contacting me altogether *rolls eyes*].
I want to get a lomography camera, so I can have artsy, unpredictable, blurry [hence better-looking me] to scrapbook holiday trips.
I see a lot of stupid silly people who buy these manual analog babies just because of the hype and eventually sell them off online probably because they can't be bothered to trudge down to certain photo shops to develop and such.
My heart is pretty much set on the basic Holga that can be easily modified to my liking once I get used to its most primary form, but I wish it came with an underwater casing. Then I bring it along when I go caving/snorkelling. The underwater version thus far would be the frogeye but it's not modifiable.

Hmm hmm hmmm.
Wasn't this such a waste of your fashion-blog-post-expecting-time?! Anyway, I still don't understand why polaroid films are being discontinued. Boobooboobye.

Pink holgas would be so cool though, too bad it doesn't come in the super basic version.
Anyway, t's really huge, I like :).
DSLR what?

Fisheye - can purchase the underwater casing from lomographyasia.com. The site is quite un-user friendly hence didn't do link-ups from there.
Nice site though.

I'm still researching on the Diana cam though.
It takes soft, dreamy photos I think.

Of Gladiator Sandals & Animal Prints
LOVE.I wore it for 3 days straight!
The last time I wore the same pair of shoes on consecutive days was when I was schooling and didn't bother [aka always late].
A few of you asked where I got them from: GoJane.
If you need sizing help, just drop a note :).
Should start showing my love for my other shoes though; heels come Monday!
Animal skin tshirt dress, white cardigan, gladiator sandals, red *Balenciaga-inspired* motorcycle bag.
I like my new dress! I predict a lot of wear from this.Bought it from ebay, and it being vintage it's too long so I got it tailored to update it into a shorter length.
My tailor was very surprised at how much this and other dresses I brought in cost.

I drove and am freaked!
Brother: If I didn't feel like puking all the time, my heart would be in my mouth the entire ride. *hands patting heart to punctuate point*
Father: Slow down! Juction! Watch for cars! Ohhhhh goodness. Turn left! HERE!! Slow down!
Me: I wish this was auto, I wish this was auto - hey look! a fellow on-probation driver, HI! - I wish this was auto, I wish this was auto...

Resolution #1 : Driver's License
Status : RESOLUTIONISED, BABY! WOOOAOSJDJAOOWJ!!!!
It's extra significant because exactly a year ago I registered at the school. Never mind that I took waaaay longer than my other peers [hence spending much, much more], graduating the day I registered is pretty cool :)

Mary Jane my Pumps
I've been extremely busy! Work + driving after work + mandatory meetups with people I must share my work stories with + uni application rush = no time for anything else! In fact I couldn't even clock in enough sleep :(
Meanwhile, I am obsessed with candy-coloured pumps! I'm absolutely enamoured by the shoe collection over at GoJane.
Next on my shoe list: Mary Jane pumps. I need to try them out at stores first though, straps don't look good on everyone (short and stumpy, helloooo.)

My absolute fave; baby pink double strap pumps:
I'm surprised that I like the baby pink, I'm usually more comfortable with brighter and deeper pinks.
By the way, I really like my work: seemingly mundane, but can be very engaging.
Can't wear jeans though. I'm going to push a little and wear a t-shirt tomorrow. I went crazy with tees a while ago and it's a pity if I leave them alone. Anyway, iIt's only my first week, I can afford mistakes.

The Week thus Far
I was not lazy with the camera! Photos for the week thus far!
Job interview outfit + new haircut today!I wanted heavier bangs but the hairdresser said then my hair will look flat or something :(.
By the way I start Monday T_T.
I like this candid shot of me being all girly.
I realise I have worn out my beret and beanies only once.Sad, really. I should really try to utilise them more.
Creepy place to do a shoot. The lights exactly right above our spot decided to go on and off the moment we parked ourselves there.
Paddle POP! The ultimate childhood lolly ice-cream for me, and the chicken pox best friend.Yes, the idea of chicken pox is so funny to me that I decided to draw angry red dots on her poxes [if that's the right word]. I'm sure she gets my humour.
We're planning to go on an infection tirade on Valentine's day tomorrow so that couples will be miserable. Yes, we are very bitter singles.
I need to get a nice full-length mirror and another wire basket storage thingy! IKEA!
I'm too lazy to flip through fashion week.
Ooooh and part of the day's shopping loot includes boots! I don't even care if I don't ever wear it out. Though I'm sure I will. Right? Yea of course I will. Hmm.

Happy Year of the Rat!
The past 4 days have been crazy crazy crazy! Work was fun but it was tiring as hell. I've never known work to be as physically tiring as it had been the past weekend. Now I think of escaped animals when I hear crickets and random unidentified sounds.
And now I have tons to catch up on; steamboat, lunches and dinners, wakeboarding session, hair appointments, new dresses to tailor, planning study routes! Oh, and days of doing nothing but bitching with best friends, I miss them all!
Happy Chinese New Year!

Spring Cleaning!
Anyway seeing as how everyone's in a spring cleaning mood because of near-approaching Chinese New Year, I'll post some photos of the results of my own spring clean.
First stop to IKEA to buy junk for my junk. Bowls and plates and mugs for $0.90! *faints* Had to stop myself from buying a whole box of them just because they were cheap.
No more all-over-the-place jewelry. By jewelry I refer to only earrings and a watch I keep forgetting to have its batteries replaced.
Another treasure I bought at IKEA, storage metal crates! I was planning to get nice cloth to cover it up, but I kinda like it in its naked charm.
I use them to store my other clothes which were left on the sofa, so now I have an entire wardrobe PLUS the metal crates as storage. The sofa is now outside, ready to be thrown out, which left my shoes exposed:
Eeeeeks, eyesore.
The other shoes that I wear more frequently are in the cabinet outside, by the way. I'm getting myself another set of metal crates to store these in.
Apart from the shoe mess, I still feel like something's not complete in my room. Hmmm. I shall fuss about it soon.
Ooooh! I threw out a whole year's worth of lecture notes! Wooo!
I miss flea markets.

Harry Potter Madness
I just finished reading the last book and I'm in awe.
If you have not read the books, PLEASE DO. And do not pass it off by saying you can just watch the movie because it is absolutely not the same feel! I feel genuinely sad for people who refuses to read the book.
Besides the new director and Dumbledore who took over don't seem to understand the book. I kept complaining about the movie weeks after watching it because I was truly disappointed.
Spoiler ahead, don't read if you have not read the book [shame on you].
I can't believe Snape was one of the good guys! And I can't believe he had to die! And Dobby! Poor sweet Dobby, dead! The ending was fuzzy-ingly warm and nice, though I was really expecting Harry and Voldemort to die together.
When Harry called his son Albus Severus, I clutched my heart! I'm such a sissy!
Too many moments! I love.
Can't believe Deathly Hallows is the last of the series. Well, at least Harry's not dead, maybe JK Rowling will pick up from there.

What Do I Do Now?
I just spent the past two hours cleaning up my room! I am amazed at the amount of space it has now.
I went for a job interview last Wednesday and had another one this afternoon. I know, my earnestness surprises me even. I'm currently looking for non-permanent jobs, just some work to do to tide me over the break before I step into University *crosses fingers*.
Which brings me to the purpose of this post. Bear with me for a little while, I just need another outlet to sort my thoughts/life out.
I'm admittedly a little lost when it comes to what I want to do and the courses to take. I sort of made up my mind to go overseas, but now a part of me wants to stay here in Singapore as well.
I'm geared towards advertising and writing, but even then I'm unsure which, and will I like doing it full-time?
I thought designing was an area worth pursuing since I was in Year 2 of my studies, and based on the grades that I had for creative modules, I was more than sure it was for me. Then I tried it full-time and found [disappointedly] that it was not my thing after all.
So I'm back to square one. Where do I go? What do I do? How much money will I [more like my parents] have to invest further? I think some of my other course mates are facing the same predicament as I am right now too, based on my conversations with them.
So let's make it easier. Do what you love. Let's talk about this thing called 'Passion'. I have a love-hate relationship with this 'Passion'. Hell, if it's that easy then we wouldn't have miserable people in the world then, would we?
My most obvious passion is with fashion. I want to buy it, analyse it, decide for it, style it, WRITE about it. I want to start as a fashion journalist, moonlight as a stylist and end up chief editor of my own cutting-edge online magazine, and retire a millionaire.
This probably explains my intense hunger to just do something. Since my break period is a mere 2 to 3 months only, what I could do that could prove helpful [like another internship] is very limited.
So now I'm helping out a fellow friend who wants to explore fashion photography and I'm hoping to secure a retail job for now. And of course, more fashion-related posts I hope. So anyone who wants a hungry freelance fashion writer please approach!
Regarding getting a degree in fashion management or the like, I probably have to draft up a lengthy, super convincing speech about why it isn't a folly decision to my parents who will be horribly aghast at the mere mention of it. I think I'd also feel more secure continuing to a mass communication degree, or even one in journalism. But then again, who knows how I'm going to decide later on *shrugs*.
Then there is that other passion. I tried pursuing it, but things didn't always seem to go my way :s. We'll see how.
Trust me, this is rare. I think it's the period talking.
If you read this far, here's a photo.
Does a moody, spaced-out, looking-out-because-I'm-deep-in-thought Lazareanu shoot seem too cliche?

Here I am
While every hot-blooded young person I know out there let their hair down and party away at hip spots in the likes of Zouk, I party at... the Night Safari. -___-
Anyway, photos. I'll try harder to be less lazy and whip my camera out more often.

Meow meow
Hello.
Sha is currently getting her life back on track, having crazy fun, running all over the place but still feels like she's gradually gloriously rotting, and basically doing whatever the hell she wants.
She promises she'll be back with constant updates and the next post should have personal photos, yay.
Meanwhile, enjoy this picture that she's infatuated with.
P.S. Apparently she's broke shopping+pigging out and "didn't have enough" to get Salmon Pepper lunch for me. !@#$%. I'm so pissing all over her new wares.
