Hello Much-needed Weekend Getaway!

But I reallllyyyy need to blog! It's been a while.

Things for you to do because my boring blog is not entertaining enough.

1) Watch Stardust!

I caught the midnight movie yesterday - godsend considering the fact that I stayed until 10pm at work! !@#$% - and I loved it. Even if you think fantasy movies are bullshit because they all seem to ride on the popularity of Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings [eg. me], you should just catch this one anyway.

Because! Robert De Niro was extremely hilarious! Claire Danes was gorgeous, the actor who played male lead Tristan was dorkishly cute, and Michelle Pfeiffer [spelling?] was good as a villain. Is it just me or does pfeiffer seem to be getting a lot of evil roles recently?

The outfits were only mildly captivating. Actually I could only remember a certain clingy silver dress and a royal blue gown.

The graphics were, as expected, mind-blowing. Subtly funny, and I could take the not-too-overbearing heroics.

2) Shop at FredFlare!

Heh. Cause I'm definitely having fun now looking at all the quirks offered.

Align Center

Project runway champ, Jay McCaroll's bowling bag!

A book on how to make soft toys, waay cute.

Because kittens are waaaaay more fashionable. Hmph.

Googly Eye rings, uh, yeah! -_-

Bye gotta pack! Whee!

I love my girlfriends!
Have not met my school ones though, it's tough to set a proper date because ALL of us have overtime and not getting paid for it. Girlsss! Steamboat dinner!

Hello Kitty Strikes Yet Again!

I need a new mouse! Why is it that my computer peripherals keep dying on me? First the printer, then the earphones and now the bloody mouse.

Anyway, I was searching online for optical mouse-s (or does 'mice' apply in this case as well?) and I came across this.

*Squeaaallls* In 2 colours no less!

DO I DARE?! O.o

Of the Quaint and the Quirky

I didn't realise I was not posting for quite some time. Anyway Friday was the last day of school for me and Monday will be the first day of internship!

Thank goodness I was there to hunt for the place first, it was nestled in the middle of these other shophouses and I almost couldn't find my way around, even with the help of a map.

Nonetheless, I'm quite excited :)

I can see colourful shophouses alongside dilapidated ones as well, awesome.

The place I'm interning at is located along this alleyway.
So quaint I could just die :)

I saw this mighty colourful quirky wallet from Bugis Street and I knew I had to get it. I wanted to get the nicest most perfect vintage sling bag I've ever touched but someone else bought it, booo.

An Elmer the Elephant wallet! It's a character from a children's book, in case you had no childhood, hmmmpphh.

Fine so Elmer was new to me as well, but isn't this adorable! It is imported from Japan, so I suppose it has to be cute? Anwyay, I was so tempted to buy the phone pouch and make-up case too.

Mandatory close-up shot :)

My Purse the Lunchbox

I want Lunchboxes!

I think they make such wacky yet fanciful hand purses. They'd make good conversation starters, which would be an ice-breaker for when I go for my internship.

No I am not inventing excuses to get them.

These from WickedCoolStuff are so so so so adorable!

This is my favourite and that's the biggest image size I managed to get -_-.
I miss Betty Boop cartoons.

Another Betty Boop favourite.
I like this sort of tin shape, it's so reminiscent of those glamourous hat boxes meant for travel.

Superman!
I love the shape of the tinbox and the comic-like images.

I was going to put a corny joke about Superman's tight clothes, but I think I'd better not.

I am absolutely indifferent towards CareBears but these are on sale, hence.

HELLO KITTY! I see you rolling your eyes.

A non-pink Hello Kitty lunch box in a cylinder shape.

Question: Do I get a quirky lunchbox, or that vintage leather sling bag?

Or I could walk away and contribute it to the LV Fund.

Loungewear Out

I know I'm all for effortless-ness, but this is really pushing the limit.

What the hell. I love it.

Very Cool.

Personal Styling into Gymming

Ever since I signed up with a gym I've been quite obsessed with what to wear, naturally.

Besides, I think it makes sense that the right apparel should not only be comfortable to work out in, but it should also make you feel like working out. So I don't care if it's silly to put so much thought in what I'm wearing to the gym, hmmmmppph.

Urban Outfitters
have all the go-to-gym essentials that I looovvveee, especially their tshirt collection.

Anyway, here's how I'd like to go to the gym in, yaaaaay.

Top

You could wear the typical sports bra/tank thingy, but I personally like a bit more cloth on me. So that when I change out of it I'd feel somehow lighter, haha.

I need to get one of these boy tanktops. I'd feel fierce in them.

On a random not, Ciara wore a white wifebeater in her "Like a Boy" music video, I thought that whole androgynous 'gangsta' look totally worked.

So flashdance! Cheesy, but I love it!

Can you say flashdance again? I'd wear this for yoga.

The T-shirts! They deserve another different post but unfortunately I think the next few days is going to be a wee bit tight, so this way at least they do receive some sort of credit :)

What? Everybody loves Hello Kitty.

Hey! Mary Kate, wait I mean Ashley, no wait, oh pooh, one of the Olsen twins wore this!

Gorgeous colour, nice cut, and a deep message *cough*.
I think I'm into this phase whereby I like big font on tshirts. I'm thinking those fashion groupie tshirts from House of Holland rubbed off on me.

Bottom

The classic: shorts.

I want to get one of these camo print cargos as well, but in a shade of grey. Saw someone wearing it out on the streets today.

Cover-up

Yay, my favourite part. Urban Outfitters is new love because they have a nice hoodies.

TOO ADORABLE.
Yay, pandas.
How's about a short-sleeved hoodie?
I got one the other day while out shopping. Loved it, though I've not worn it out yet.
The romper is great for the beach, works as well as a gym coverup.
The appeal is that it's cute and it's so easy to wear.

Well, that's my preferred gym style for you. Have fun looking for yours :)

Shady business

Happy Easter!

Shades shopping is a bit of a chore for me because my bridgeless nose makes a lot of shades rest on my cheeks instead. However if it looks pretty damn good then to hell with comfort, I'm wearing the shades.

Which brings us to today's post, sunglasses from Fred Flare! I wonder who actually uses the word "sunglasses" nowadays. Anyway.

I am loving all their shades! I really mean ALL of them.

I am fighting every ounce of shopper's instinct in my body to not get them because I am saving up for another spree a friend's organizing soon. They are pretty affordable at USD$9. Plus shipping and stuff, about SGD$20?

Jackie O sunglasses

doctor octagon sunglasses

heart sunglasses

Actually, you know what, it's good then I can't spare some cash to get them. It would break my heart to choose which one to get x_x

I'm really tired. Night.

Takoyaki wallet

Bleah.

I feel horribly sick. I'm beginning to cough, I have a bad running nose and my head is throbbing. Need to get to bed soon.

But since I'm here, I need a wallet badly. Question is, what kind of wallet do I want? Something classic? Cute? Funny? Colourful? Long wallets? So many questions that I should not even attempt to answer in my condition.

But I am loving this Takoyaki wallet from Etsy.

You know what? I could do good with some Takoyaki right now.

Cute and Useful

Fred Flare is known for being a cute fest, but I didn't know they have a lot of wicked cool gadgets as well.

video iPod karaoke system

I'd kill for this if I actually owned a video iPod.
No more forced-to-stop karaoke systems! HA!

Peeps marshmallow maker

A really real marshmallow maker? Seriously?

red heart measuring tape

If I were some fashion designer wannabe I'd carry this around to measure cloth and stuff!

pink ladiez tool kit

Not that I'd actually USE it, but still, every household has to have one toolkit.
Besides this one is in pink. PINK!

Just because :)

N.E.E.T. Magazine's latest issue is out!
