Yes alive! I've been indulging in new hobbies like watching funny Korean variety shows on my iPod and crystalling as well as old ones i.e. movies and shopping.

Anyway, I'm a few trends too late, but I want animal print stuff. Not like animal skin print, but like real animal prints. Something akin to this:

I really like this top, I shall hunt for a similar looking one when I go shopping.

By the way, have you gotten something for your mother for Mumsy's Day? Cause I haven't and I'm all out of gift ideas!

Random Midnight Shopping

I was over at Mustafa Centre last night for some nowhere-else-opens-24h midnight browsing.

Adorable quirky evening clutches!

The bundle I was sooooo tempted to get.

I didn't, because I knew they'd be for unnecessary home decoration only, since I already have one for such a purpose -___-.

Big bags I still love :)

I also chanced upon these suits for boys!
I'd totally force my spawn to wear these everywhere.

I need to figure out how to get on some sort of mailing list or something, I only found out late last night via email from one of the online shops that's going to be there.

Shame I'm so broke [boss too busy and forgot all about payday], because I was
planning to get underwater toy cameras.

A flea market is a flea market is a freaking flea market. STOP glamorizing it. Tsks.

I want to be a Fafinette

The problem I have about MAC Cosmetics is that it's purely functional, it lives mainly to colour the face. Don't expect benefits like extraordinary oil control or having a moisturizing effect.

That said however, they do do some mean collaborations; most recently with Ah Mei and
now Fafi. Fafi is this cool french chick who does graffiti painting with brushes and has collaborated with the likes of adidas and Sony.

I looovee her graffiti characters that she affectionately calls Fafinettes, and I needed something new for my lips, for cherry tint is getting too old. So I got this.

Pretty pretty pretty packaging. It took a whole lot of self-control to not go nuts and get the Fafinette limited doll that does nothing but stand pretty by itself.
Fafi created characters for MAC by the wa; Eriko, Ermine and Monoka.

Prettier tube. I get the strangest feeling I'm going to be paying another visit pretty soon.

Thursday's a day from Friday

The best thing about going to work and not being able to wear whatever you want, is that you're forced to plan outfits. I like :) That way I reaaaallly don't become lazy and wear the typical woke-up-late outfits to work, like I used to to school.

What would make work perfect is if I don't snack all the damn time. My colleagues dub me the vacuum because I eat everything they throw my way.

Anyway, today's outfit.

Chiffon bubble dress, black cardigan, white belt.

I don't like bubbling of the hem in my dresses/skirts, but I didn't want to waste the dress [it was on sale -_-]so I balanced it out by wearing a cardigan over and belting the waist to create a defined silhouette.

Which is why I think outerwear is such a great lifesaver piece to have. It transforms the outfit, be it to hide it or enhance the look. So I'm still thinking about investing in that tailored blazer; now that I'm trying to be independent and not get money from my parents, I've come to realise that penny pinching is a great ability [yes, I am considering it an ability] to have.

Went shopping yesterday, bought shoes and a dress in... brilliant purple *surprise, surprise*.

The most fantabulous navy blue platform sandal wedges that make me wobble when I walk in them. LOVE. I was going to wear them today but it was raining and I would risk a lot of things when it comes to fashion, but not toppling over face first in a downpour.

Hope it rains again tomorrow, I have a cold-day outfit planned already.

Purple and Green

I'm the worst daughter ever because I forgot my mom's birthday -___-||. Note to self: buy flowers and cake tomorrow to surprise her.

Anyway, for some reason I was struck with purple and green the past couple of days.

To total chillfest lunch with the girlfriends.

Baggy purple top with green singlet layering, white shorts.

Lazy Saturday out of not knowing what to do. I seriously wish I could pass the coming driving test, then we can venture more inaccessible places. Town is becoming so, so old for us.

Men's V-neck shirt, pencil skirt, orange heels with silver details, new Marni-inspired bag :).

It's been a while since I last wore heels out. I love my sneakers, but my feet needs some good ol' torturing once in a while.
Next on the shopping list: pink, red and green heels.
Or a little metallic purple or snakeskin blue can't hurt either. And one of those mary jane pumps.

My new rings.
My new pair of boots.

I start work tomorrow?! So soon?!
Egad. I have yet to apply for uni and I have less than a week!

No time no time no time.

Missing these times already.

Hot Topic Sale on Sale

My Threadless tees are here! Well, not here here, they're in Singapore at least -__-.

Anywaaay just thought I'd let you in on a little sale.

Hot Topic is having a further 50% off the clearance rack, coolnessess.

The shoes are dirt cheap! Makes me think how much (or how little) the labour making the shoes are being paid :s Anyway, the shoes don't look like crap.

These vinyl totes are tres adorable.

Oh looky! Hello Kitty! For the sake of my own sanity I resisted getting it.

And then there were t-shirts, but of course.

I was tempted to go nuts but eventually I got only one Junk Food tshirt; Debbie Harry wins over David Bowie yeaaaaahhh :)

It's near new years but I'm broke! Eeeps.
What else do you do when you're still suffering from bouts of cough and a very runny nose despite getting so many days of rest + gallons of water + medicine + bitter chinese medicine brews? Help.

Threadless Holiday Sale

Threadless $10 holiday sale is back!

My favourite designs, as usual. It's good that there are no Threadless sprees so far because I can't choose to get anyway.

"Teddy Band"
Cute and rock 'n' roll, two of my favourite things yeeeaaaah.

"Movies: Ruining the Book Since 1920"
I agree totally yet I can't stop going to the movies, hmm.

"International Translation"
Just about the only shirt you could ever need in a foreign country.
I wonder why I'd need a caterpillar bitten leaf when I'm in Japan though.

"Music Snob"
Hilarious. This is the perfect shirt for pop slaves everywhere.

"Queen of Paradise"
For something a little more ethereal yet quirky. Queens of paradise all evolve from psychedelic goats, you didn't know?

Too many choices, how does one decide?

I Make Uncool Glasses Cool. Coughs.

Aaaaaaaaah weekend, how I love you so.

I'm thinking I'm developing some sort of obsession for uncool eyewear.

Yeah, we so fly.

ANYWAY, real point of entry:

Grandpa reading glasses! Yet another gem find at favourite waste-time haunt, Daiso.

They're not exactly what I've been looking for, but they do have charm :).

Another Daiso find, the Caramel corn is my new snack obsession! The one is the foreground is condensed milk flavoured while the one at the back is coconut, which is surprisingly very very delicious.

10 more freaking weeks to go. Suck it up.

Going Nuts for Eyewear

Woo, alright! 3 posts in one day! I feel like I have a lot more to blog about x_x.

I got these from FredFlare 2 days ago!

Imitation Rayban-inspired wayfarer shades!
I was torn between white and the red one, and I was leaning a lot towards getting the red one, but then I thought it looked too cartoon-ish, and I wasn't sure how the bright red would reflect against my skin colour.
So I got the safer boring white. Ho. Hum.

I also got Harry Potter glasses!!! SQUEAALLSS.
Can't wait for them to reach me.

Still looking for oversized vintage grandpa glasses.

Cheap on Halloween

Boo. I really wanted to go to a Halloween party tonight but my mom didn't allow me to, as usual. I probably shouldn't have gone out in the day -_-.

I even saw some costumes! They were verrrryyy cheap over at Bugis area, especially in this one store in Sim Lim Tower. I didn't buy any though, I thought devils were cheesy and I'm not going as some ugly monstrosity... literally. I thought the fake claws were so cool, though! But in a club setting... maybe not too practical :s.

But eventually if I could go I would have gone as an 80s dancer sans tube socks - nobody seems to stock them anymore, hmm.

I'm not going so the only reason why I'm even bothering to write about what I would have gone as is to make myself feel better.

Is it working? Not so much.

I did get myself... jelly shoes -_-.

See, I already own a pair, lemme dig for a photo...

So yes, those are the jelly peep-toes that I got and my nude pumps from Charles and Keith.

They're not platform like the gorgeous Christian Louboutin ones but with my budget of $50 they're the best I could find. They're surprisingly comfortable, so yay for that.

The umbrella is another gorgeous find from Daiso, hence only $2. My friend thinks it's sad that I've never owned a transparent umbrella. Never owned? Hell, I've never even seen this in abundance before!

Anyway these were the ones that I exactly want!

The ones that looks like the Urban Outfitters one.

It came in two shades of, uh, transparent. One is clear the other is tinted black.
The tinted one looked nicer but I opted for the clear one because I wanted it to look as outrightly cheap as possible.
Everyone knows they're dirt cheap, so let's just go for the most unassuming one.

First the tube socks... now jelly shoes... what is happening to me! Revert to less tackier self now! *What less tackier self hurhur.*

Just so you know, I still don't know when Halloween is.

Impromptu Shoe Shopping

Yay, I feel awesome today despite not sleeping for 2 nights straight. Napping for 1 hour is not sleeping.

Anyway, all the deadly projects are done and I should be catching up on some sleep right now but I just had coffee. Plus I wanted to catch up on some online shopping and blogging and Facebooking, heh.

Happy as I am, I decided to get new shoes on my way home.

Floral wedges!
Currently I have no outfit in mind to wear this with. Meh, I'll think of something.
They're slightly big, but I'm hoping the strap will won't make my feet slide too much.

Turquoise round-toe pumps!
I was choosing between this dotted pair or another turquoise sharp-point heel. I really liked the sharp-point faux snakeskin heels but the heels didn't look streamlined to me, which was why I decided to get the cuter round pumps which are sure to hurt as hell.

Trying a little trick at the moment:

Wear thick socks, or wear layers of socks and walk around the house everywhere.

The trick is supposed to stretch the shoes a bit so that it'll feel more comfortable because of the expansion.

When I asked for advise, the shoe shop saleslady said that sharp-point heels elongates the legs while round toe pumps makes the feet appear smaller.
Interesting, I didn't notice.

Patterns and Dresses

I was complaining to my friend the other time:

"Sony T10 sucks! I can't take close-up shots for nuts! It always ends up blurry and out of focus *whine complain whine*..."
"Did you remember to switch on the macro feature each time?"
"The mac-what now?"
"..........."

And now I like my camera and taking close-up shots! Yay! An SLR camera is still very covetable though. Wait make that a DSLR.

Anyway, now that I have discovered the macro function, taking photos of patterns have been fun. I read somewhere on Stylehive before that likened patterns as dangerous boyfriends you can't resist. You always bring home the safe types aka solid colours but you always look at the dangerous ones aka patterns. Or something like that.

Right, right, my point. I love patterns :)

Went shopping a few days ago and I bought happy happy stripes.

This was the dress I wore, forgot to take a full photo of it because I was rushing to catch America's Next Top Model on tv.
Yes, ANTM is my guilty pleasure, so sue me.

Excuse the theatre screen forehead and the cheesy thumbs-up sign please, I really liked the sesame paste.

The dress had a granny feel to it that I really really liked. Didn't intend on getting this one initially.

I bought a similar dress initially and it was bright and cheery as opposed to the sombre quality the granny dress had.
I happen to pass by the same shop the other time and I knew I just had to have the granny dress one or else I'd die.

This was the cheery first dress:

The Granny dress pattern:

I also got myself a vintage dress on ebay only because of it's pattern.

When it came I was excited that it had interesting puff detail and shaping on the sleeves that I didn't notice before.

That's a basic grey shift dress with the cutest ribbon on its sleeves and pockets.
It was a tad too big but my fault I suppose, checking for measurements is not my habit -_-.

Love the geometric fishscales pattern:

Back to work!

***

I am officially un-contactable! Even my back-up phone has died on me!

I could use the house phone except the phone line was just terminated since nobody in the house uses it and the very smartass who suggested cancelling it now needs it! Bah.

I'm feeling so dependent and lost and anxious and I cannot relax totally. *randomly touches random things*

Wardrobe Raids: "Very Flea" Flea Market

No carriers will be provided in a bid to save the earth!
So bring your own fashionable little [or big] shopping bags.

The junk will be sold out of the plentiful luggages, bins and piles on floormats.
Sounds like the Zouk flea market that I went to months ago.
Now that's more like my kind of flea market :)

Mildly Fashionable Rambling

***
I dozed off in my living room waiting for a movie to load and was awakened by hasty knocks [doorbell had no batteries] and unintelligible shouts [*knocks* "Waaaaaaaaiii!" *knocks*].

Thinking what the hell was going on I groggily walked towards the door cursing the person's impatience. As I was nearing the door, it creaked open and immediately closed back. "Shoot, I didn't lock the door, did I?!"

I froze and inched forward slowly in a fighting stance, ready to kick. Then as suddenly as the first time it creaked open again and a package flew in!

I could recognise that manila wrapping anywhere.

"MAILLLLL!!!" I screamed [silently] in delight and relief!!!

More specifically, mail for ME!

Much more specifically, dresses in the mail for moi.

Yayness -_-.

***
Do not keep the mail man waiting or he'll wail. Che-che-check it out it rhymes yo! sorta, mail or he'll wail. Whatever.

I'll remember to lock the door next time.

Honestly this just happened, right down to the fighting stance part. I thought if it's some bastard trying to break in, at least I could break his hands first. Mother's constant nagging is getting to me, an aunt's house was robbed in broad daylight before :(.

***

I'm more than happy with the dresses, though one is loose. My fault though, measuring for size is not my habit at all.

I will post photos soon now that I know where my memory card adapter is *coughsSHERMINcoughs*.

Of course I could use the USB cable but making excuses to not do so is easier work. Oops.

***

I'm going to attempt to make prettier fried mars bar.

It's sinfully delicious enough for me but they look like dollops of dough. Ugly.

Oh yeah, for extra yumminess, add a bit of ground cinnamon.

And must serve with vanilla ice-cream, the cold will strangely and illogically ease the heaviness of the dish. Lastly, have very very sparingly unless you wanna say bye to the waistline.

***

Help Myanmar/Burma :(.

***

Told you this was pure rambling. The dress in the mail part was mildly fashionable hence appropriate right? No? Pssssh fine.

Christian Dior Couture from Fall '07

Honestly, Dior's the only couture collection that I look forward to every season.
Galliano is pure genius.

Been a while since I last blogged like this. Feels kinda nice :)

To Oxford... or Not to Oxford.

Woo hoo just came back from a midnight practice drive.

I am crazy lemming for... Oxfords. Or jazz shoes. Honestly speaking, I do not know how to differentiate the two so when I'm less ignorant I'll categorise them properly -_-.

Gaaaaaaah, but I'm supposed to be on a shopping fast! Not even a strict diet, a full-on fast! I have some shoe money set aside, but those are reserved for my nude pumps.

Not that I could find some decent (and affordable) ones in Singapore or on Ebay anyway. The only ones I could ever find were these as I later found out Irregular Choice tuxedo oxfords.

These, more affordable hence more coveted ones, are from Urban Outfitters.

I love the red jazz flats, it comes in black too which is what I'd probably get seeing as how I already have a pair of red shoes and ugly black ones.

But I... simply... CAN'T.

Prioritise! PRIORITISE!
PRIORI-FREAKING-TISE!
PRIORI-LV-TISE!

Eeeks! A dress spree!

I'm hopeless. Ciao.
