Just to get into the mood of things...

This is boboniaa and she lives in Bangkok.

Oh yeah, can you say supercharged?!

A couple more hours to go and it's hello to the Land of smiles, pretty ladyboys and mango sticky rice!

My attitude towards packing has been nothing but flippant - I'd rather blog ;p. Can always get supplies there what.

Till next week!

Of White Tights and the Missing Red One

I promised myself I'd go all out and post a few things that I thought about but let's see. Woke up at noon, lazed around, stepped out of the house for a moment to look for DIY stuff (more on that in later posts).

Sooo annnyyywaaaay. I've had my eye on white stockings, but they always go out of stock so fast.

Another thing to envy: the tuxedo shoes! Darn my no-money-ness-ity.

News flash I am ass broke.
In not splurging on clothes I made up for it buying make-up that accumulated to a lot :(

I'll probably get the baby pink ones if I stilll can't get my mittens on the white.

What happened to my red stockings?! *pulls apart wardrobe*

Lord of the Rings marathon on the tube later on I am soo excited. Only movie that will ever fangirl me up all over hot elves and takehometomummy hobbits. Which explains why I've cooped myself at home for the weekend. Ciao.

Scarlet Red Stockings

I had a little dilemma because I didn't really know what to do with my horrendously red stockings. Facehunter proved to be of some help yet again.

This would be the closest colour to my stockings, except a wee bit more scarlet.

I could work with something like this...

And I love, love, love this:

Dowdy secretary with secret life as a *theme music* superhero with a stylish oversized vintage bag that I must steal.

You know I was narrow minded enough to want to pair my red stockings with only black, because I thought that would make it pop without looking clownish.

But the above looks proved red-on-white does not equal Ronald Mcdonald's un-chic, and red-on-red surprisingly doesn't look overbearing. And red on red and white, looks fab.

I think I'm going to try low-key for the rest of my outfits, and then do a red stockings peekaboo.

I had milk tea with supper earlier on, how do I sleep now x_x. I'm watching the Academy Awards now, maybe that'll help?

Bringing Lazyback, yeeah.

Whenever I go out, I'll tend to put some effort because I'm excited I'm not going out to work, and then add in a little extra effort to look slightly less glam. Like throwing in a comfy cardigan or wearing non-fussy flats.

You know, to reflect how my mood, which I've come to realise is always lazy. Ludicrous, I know, putting in extra effort to look lazy *rolls eyes*.

Anywaaayyy, I found lazy inspirations. Imagine that. I should probably find another word for lazy, it's getting way too repetitive. Meh, too lazy. Lazy lazy lazy.

I know her feet are covered by the copyright mark but I think you can tell she's wearing slippers. She managed to pull off slippers with that dressed-up outfit. And strangely enough, I think she wouldn't have exuded that same effortless feel if she was wearing anything else BUT slippers.

I secretly think she's mocking slippers-abhorring stuck-ups.

Though I am still against pairing skinnies with slippers. Don't do that, please. It's just sloppy.

Soooo Angelina Jolie. Casual, laidback with a punch of posh with foolproof Chanel handbag and oversized glasses.

So WAYW today, SG?

Seeing as how today is the first full day I'm at home completely free, I went about reading all my favourite fashion blogs. Fashion Nation featured a local street fashion feature site that I never knew about and I am loving it.

Awesome photography + banging styles = a very inspired blogger.

All this while I kept pronouncing 'wayw' as 'wheywa' in speech and it took me a while to figure out wayw refers to What are You Wearing. It's a lazy Sunday and I'm hungry, don't judge me, hmmpph.

Fashion is Obsession

I'm a happy bunny because in a span of 2 days I have 4 new dresses altogether! Whee. I was suppose to be looking for jeans 2 days ago but I found 2 dresses instead. Later on my ebay dress came in the mail! And today I found another perfect dress to add to my collection, it is JOY. I'll post photos soon!

Besides that my new timetable rocks!!!

Ok here are my current obsessions:

1. Dresses, obviously.

Many many dresses! I think the types of dresses I want are limitless, but from photos that I like, I'm thinking I like the whole chiffon vintage thing.

Erin Fetherston

2. Nude pumps

These would be perfect, although with the price tag it better be.
This are quite some time ago so unfortunately I can't pinpoint the source of these images, oops :x
Christian Louboutin

Jimmy Choo

3. Grey Jeans

Not just any ol' grey jeans, I want those that are only slightly tapered and it has to be stretchy, since I want it to be mighty comfortable. Which is difficult since the skinny jeans isn't about to die anytime soon and popular as ever.

Honestly do not know what kind of cutting I'm looking for, so I simply searched for 'grey jeans' on shopbop -_-||

4. Vintage suitcases

Or briefcases, whichever. I want them for cheap, too, so I'm still scouring Ebay.

Spring '08 Wrap-Up: Fashion Week Scene

Oh yay fashion week has begun.

I was going to look through the shows but The Sartorialist's genius street wear shots at style.com distracted me so.

Carine Roitfield, editor of French Vogue.
Love her style, she always manage to look chic and polished without being too meticulous.
What's the word now, oh right: Effortless.
And she smiles for photos too, I heard Anna Wintour's eyes glow scarlet red beneath those shades *shudder*.

Why hello Rachel Zoe, haven't seen you since that Nicole brat fired you.
I suppose her skin-and-bones advocation should be bad... but the woman knows what she's doing.
Her boho style works for her.

Other people I don't know who dress equally fab:

Another boho look but not as outwardly.
Love her Miumiu bag, and if I'm not mistaken those platforms are Prada's?
Anywho I'd kill for them.

Oh yeah, leather black hi-tops are love.
I know I just got myself the nerd glasses, but I like her grandpa square glasses as well.
Bah, I'll probably get shades from Fred Flare.

I didn't like overalls before but lately I've been looking at shirt overalls to pull off this exact Safari-like feel.

LV Carry-alls! Within a week, 2 people I know got LV Speedy's! *off to work on speech for mother about how worthy an investment the Speedy is*

Bah, what's the big deal. Besides I'm young! I should get Miu miu! Or Marc Jacobs! Or or JPG!

Or Louis Vuitton *drools*...

Turbans: What if?

Ever since Prada did the turban on the catwalk, I knew it was going to be trend and I knew I would never consider it.

But of course, I realise when it comes to fashion there's no such thing as "never consider".

Then I looked at the people on FaceHunter and saw other variations of the turban.

The atypical Prada version.

Ok so shift it a little to the side and leave a tail.

This one made me chuckle a little.
Her turban version looked like she did it with eyes closed and a "suck this, trendwhores" attitude, and maybe its the orange hair as well, but hell, it works.

In case you've not seen Topshop's turban...
Riiiggghht. At least I don't have to tie it on myself.

Know why I'm excited? Because while looking through my lookbook for a Prada turban I discovered a whole collection of past looks that are pretty pretty pretty!

I am beat. Past few days of attempting to squeeze work and frolick together have been tiring.

Tale of the Pink Bike and the Red Dress

Ask me why I want to wear a dress when I bike.

[Source: Facehunter]
It's all about the image, baby.

Unfortunately I don't have a pretty dress that is flowy for practical reasons, nor do I have a pink bike. Or a working bicycle for that matter.

And during the blue moon that I do go biking I'd probably have to rent it so the bike is usually the typical ugly grey ones.

So the story ends before it even began.

She's also wearing transparent jelly flats.

Now I see jelly flats everywhere, and I mean EVERYWHERE, and it's just one of those things that I neither hate nor love.

It's pretty obvious I'm a bloody cheapskate and jelly shoes are pretty cheap [you can get them for about $10 per pair?] and I heard they're comfortable. Yet I still feel nothing for it. Hmm.
