I've done my fair share of 'Which Hogwarts house do you belong to' and I ALWAYS end up in Slytherin. Never cheated either. Though I did cheat once and I got into Gryffindor. This time I'm almost a Gryffindor ok!

WTH I wanna sleep, night!

Patterns and Dresses

I was complaining to my friend the other time:

"Sony T10 sucks! I can't take close-up shots for nuts! It always ends up blurry and out of focus *whine complain whine*..."
"Did you remember to switch on the macro feature each time?"
"The mac-what now?"
"..........."

And now I like my camera and taking close-up shots! Yay! An SLR camera is still very covetable though. Wait make that a DSLR.

Anyway, now that I have discovered the macro function, taking photos of patterns have been fun. I read somewhere on Stylehive before that likened patterns as dangerous boyfriends you can't resist. You always bring home the safe types aka solid colours but you always look at the dangerous ones aka patterns. Or something like that.

Right, right, my point. I love patterns :)

Went shopping a few days ago and I bought happy happy stripes.

This was the dress I wore, forgot to take a full photo of it because I was rushing to catch America's Next Top Model on tv.
Yes, ANTM is my guilty pleasure, so sue me.

Excuse the theatre screen forehead and the cheesy thumbs-up sign please, I really liked the sesame paste.

The dress had a granny feel to it that I really really liked. Didn't intend on getting this one initially.

I bought a similar dress initially and it was bright and cheery as opposed to the sombre quality the granny dress had.
I happen to pass by the same shop the other time and I knew I just had to have the granny dress one or else I'd die.

I also got myself a vintage dress on ebay only because of it's pattern.

When it came I was excited that it had interesting puff detail and shaping on the sleeves that I didn't notice before.

That's a basic grey shift dress with the cutest ribbon on its sleeves and pockets.
It was a tad too big but my fault I suppose, checking for measurements is not my habit -_-.

I am officially un-contactable! Even my back-up phone has died on me!

I could use the house phone except the phone line was just terminated since nobody in the house uses it and the very smartass who suggested cancelling it now needs it! Bah.

I'm feeling so dependent and lost and anxious and I cannot relax totally. *randomly touches random things*

Mildly Fashionable Rambling

I dozed off in my living room waiting for a movie to load and was awakened by hasty knocks [doorbell had no batteries] and unintelligible shouts [*knocks* "Waaaaaaaaiii!" *knocks*].

Thinking what the hell was going on I groggily walked towards the door cursing the person's impatience. As I was nearing the door, it creaked open and immediately closed back. "Shoot, I didn't lock the door, did I?!"

I froze and inched forward slowly in a fighting stance, ready to kick. Then as suddenly as the first time it creaked open again and a package flew in!

I could recognise that manila wrapping anywhere.

"MAILLLLL!!!" I screamed [silently] in delight and relief!!!

More specifically, mail for ME!

Much more specifically, dresses in the mail for moi.

Honestly this just happened, right down to the fighting stance part. I thought if it's some bastard trying to break in, at least I could break his hands first. Mother's constant nagging is getting to me, an aunt's house was robbed in broad daylight before :(.

I'm more than happy with the dresses, though one is loose. My fault though, measuring for size is not my habit at all.

Of course I could use the USB cable but making excuses to not do so is easier work. Oops.

I'm going to attempt to make prettier fried mars bar.

It's sinfully delicious enough for me but they look like dollops of dough. Ugly.

Oh yeah, for extra yumminess, add a bit of ground cinnamon.

And must serve with vanilla ice-cream, the cold will strangely and illogically ease the heaviness of the dish. Lastly, have very very sparingly unless you wanna say bye to the waistline.

Fashion is Obsession

I'm a happy bunny because in a span of 2 days I have 4 new dresses altogether! Whee. I was suppose to be looking for jeans 2 days ago but I found 2 dresses instead. Later on my ebay dress came in the mail! And today I found another perfect dress to add to my collection, it is JOY. I'll post photos soon!

Besides that my new timetable rocks!!!

Ok here are my current obsessions:

1. Dresses, obviously.

Many many dresses! I think the types of dresses I want are limitless, but from photos that I like, I'm thinking I like the whole chiffon vintage thing.

3. Grey Jeans

Not just any ol' grey jeans, I want those that are only slightly tapered and it has to be stretchy, since I want it to be mighty comfortable. Which is difficult since the skinny jeans isn't about to die anytime soon and popular as ever.

Honestly do not know what kind of cutting I'm looking for, so I simply searched for 'grey jeans' on shopbop -_-||

Some people would confuse them with pinafores. What with the recent pinafore trend and all, I think the definition of what a pinafore is is realllllyyyy being distorted. Just because it can be layered does not mean it's a pinafore, thank you.

Therefore, dear readers, I am looking for a light dress/slip. Something extremely simple and minimalistic that I can wear on its own, or if I feel like, uh, spicing things up, I layer it.

Haven't found the perfect one though, the ones I've come across have too much things going on.

Tale of the Pink Bike and the Red Dress

It's all about the image, baby.

Unfortunately I don't have a pretty dress that is flowy for practical reasons, nor do I have a pink bike. Or a working bicycle for that matter.

And during the blue moon that I do go biking I'd probably have to rent it so the bike is usually the typical ugly grey ones.

So the story ends before it even began.

She's also wearing transparent jelly flats.

Now I see jelly flats everywhere, and I mean EVERYWHERE, and it's just one of those things that I neither hate nor love.

It's pretty obvious I'm a bloody cheapskate and jelly shoes are pretty cheap [you can get them for about $10 per pair?] and I heard they're comfortable. Yet I still feel nothing for it. Hmm.

Dresses are LOVE.

I have some pent-up energy so I modelled the dresses I bought recently that were similar looking but they were darn cheap and I really really love them! Whee.

Just have to find an occasion to wear them out to though, not wearing pretty things to school x_x. Already have a couple of events booked for them, yay!

I'm kinda bored. Today I was suppose to indulge in some serious slacking at home. I think I'm so used to being out almost everyday that it feels strange to just do nothing. Which should be good for me, since school starts next week. Yuck.

Metallic leggings

When I saw gold leggings at Topshop, the first thing I said was "UGLY." I thought this was one of the trends taken too far. I mean, reflective metallic leggings? Come on.

Hmm.

I suppose the basic rule here should be to wear the other articles of clothing in neutral shades. Or like the following metallic leggings endorsers from Facehunter, wear black.



Then there were these these scans from local magazine Female. Or at least they would be scans if I actually scanned them. Actually I used my camera. So many convenient things I could do with a camera :x.

I digress.

Anyway, you see innovative pairings of the leggings that turned out pretty chic. The cute dress with silver leggings for a day out in town or fabulous gown with gold leggings for a special event.






It's an interesting concept, I'll give it to you.

Floor-sweeping Pinafores are not Kinky

I love this long pinafore dress by Erdem.

This is a little surprising for me that I take a liking to the look because I think I hate pinafores. I find myself cringing at the thought of a pinafore. I'm thinking the whole idea of looking like an overgrown schoolgirl is just unappealing.

But anyway, because of the length this pinafore has an elegance about it that I love.

4) Hoodie is Love

Because I love hoodies! But hey, at least I'm not the only one, the hoodie made plenty of appearances on the runway.

One thing though, they all made actual use of the hood. Usually hoods just flop at the back of your neck.

I love this look though, I shall attempt to do this next time without feeling stupid. Althought the fact that I'm even worrying it'd look stupid should tell me enough. Bah.
