Patterns and Dresses

I was complaining to my friend the other time:

"Sony T10 sucks! I can't take close-up shots for nuts! It always ends up blurry and out of focus *whine complain whine*..."
"Did you remember to switch on the macro feature each time?"
"The mac-what now?"
"..........."

And now I like my camera and taking close-up shots! Yay! An SLR camera is still very covetable though. Wait make that a DSLR.

Anyway, now that I have discovered the macro function, taking photos of patterns have been fun. I read somewhere on Stylehive before that likened patterns as dangerous boyfriends you can't resist. You always bring home the safe types aka solid colours but you always look at the dangerous ones aka patterns. Or something like that.

Right, right, my point. I love patterns :)

Went shopping a few days ago and I bought happy happy stripes.

This was the dress I wore, forgot to take a full photo of it because I was rushing to catch America's Next Top Model on tv.
Yes, ANTM is my guilty pleasure, so sue me.

Excuse the theatre screen forehead and the cheesy thumbs-up sign please, I really liked the sesame paste.

The dress had a granny feel to it that I really really liked. Didn't intend on getting this one initially.

I bought a similar dress initially and it was bright and cheery as opposed to the sombre quality the granny dress had.
I happen to pass by the same shop the other time and I knew I just had to have the granny dress one or else I'd die.

I also got myself a vintage dress on ebay only because of it's pattern.

When it came I was excited that it had interesting puff detail and shaping on the sleeves that I didn't notice before.

That's a basic grey shift dress with the cutest ribbon on its sleeves and pockets.
It was a tad too big but my fault I suppose, checking for measurements is not my habit -_-.

I am officially un-contactable! Even my back-up phone has died on me!

I could use the house phone except the phone line was just terminated since nobody in the house uses it and the very smartass who suggested cancelling it now needs it! Bah.

I'm feeling so dependent and lost and anxious and I cannot relax totally. *randomly touches random things*

My Super Exciting Daily Routine

Ok so this is what I have to do everyday:

1) Wake up and curse angrily at whoever's unfortunate enough to be dj-ing when the radio alarm went off. Wash myself to wake myself up proper.

2) Think of what I'm going to eat/cook while having breakfast.

3) Switch on the laptop and load iTunes and movies/dramas to be watched later. If I decide to cook something then I'll be browsing recipe sites.

4) Check driving website hoping to get an earlier practical test date. My lessons are almost done but the test is on the 18th of January because I was being ignorant and idiotic.

5) Ebay for the LV Speedy.

I don't know why either also. The cheapest most believable non-dubious price it could ever be would be $500, and that's second-hand. I don't have $500.

Anyway, the LV Speedy Cherry keeps popping up. It looks tacky online, but my friend carries it and it looks fine. Hmm. Maybe next time when I'm attempting to steal it I'll have a closer look.

I suppose that's another plus to searching on ebay, you get exposed to other models, both current and retired.

Yeeeaaaah so that's my daily routine as long as I'm slacking at home, as exciting as can be.

Just Close your Eyes and Bid for Charity

Local celebrity + 1 international celebrity designed shoes on ebay! The proceeds go to some charity for young entrepreneurs.

And yeeeeaaaaah, apparently nobody likes the designs [or the celebrity] that much. No surprise though, they should all stick to their day jobs.

It is soooo strange that nobody has placed a bid on Click 5's shoes yet. Sure, maybe their idea of a coveted design are their, uh, exclusive signatures but come on, they're Click 5!

Speaking of which, I think their new vocalist is a much better fit. The previous guy's nasally pretty pop voice annoyed the hell out of me.



Out of all the designs I saw, the only one I liked was Ben Yeo's, and his was the most minimalistic -_-.

His also has the most bids so far.

May and Choy were great on 881, but their designs surprised me. And not in a very good way.

This is not bad, but girl, TAME IT DOWN.
There's just too much of everything that it looks tacky.

This wouldn't be so bad if I could take my eyes off the horrific absolutely unnecessary pink puff. Apparently it "adds life and vibrancy".
Right, I suppose the bright turquoise and elaborate multi-coloured Chinese motifs are not attention-seeking enough.

But still, at least theirs was more tolerable. When I saw the pair designed Julian Hee, I literally fell off my chair before experiencing seizures from the mere ugliness of it.

I have been scouring ebay.com.sg for almost everything I could think of, some for the sake of seeing what pops up. Haha. It's addictive, this ebay.

Anyway, the one thing that I've been diligently looking for on ebay everytime I go there would be for dresses.

Milly Walker is by far the only ebay store that had me wanting to view page after page of their selection of pretty vintage dresses.
