MJ Created Something Not Entirely Impractical

I crazy love this:It's from the LV Spring 08 collection and it is by far the only bag from LV since Marc Jacobs took its helm (note: spongebob squarepants lunchbox bag thing *shivers*) that I'm truly enamored by.

It has this quirky bubblegum pop feel but the vivid yellow offsets the pastel pink and green nicely, avoiding an otherwise cloyingly sweet silly bag.

My Purse the Lunchbox

I want Lunchboxes!

I think they make such wacky yet fanciful hand purses. They'd make good conversation starters, which would be an ice-breaker for when I go for my internship.

No I am not inventing excuses to get them.

More Classic Monograms

Ellipse

I didn't like the Ellipse initially, but after looking at the ad with Uma Thurman in it I'm thinking it's really not bad.

Just about the most adorable slingbag EVER. I'm considering getting a sling bag instead simply because they're practical for those constantly on-the-go. Plus it's such a youthful selection.

Keepall

I was thinking of getting the Speedy 40 instead of the 30 because, well, I like my bags big.

But from what I've read on forums a lot of people advised against getting the Speedy 40 because it looks awkward on a person. They suggested the keepall with strap instead. And I'm thinking I really like the smallest keepall in the series, 45.

A registered mail came in today and no one was home to take it. So now I'm left wondering what the hell did I get because I honestly do not remember what I bought recently.

I am finally on Facebook. I'll probably get bored of it in a week like I always do, but I have to admit, so far it's damn entertaining.

LV Speedy is still LoVe

Title is a weeee bit misleading but as much as I'd like to, the LV LoVe series is much more $$$, so no deviation from my old flame: the LV Speedy.

In Ireland the Louis Vuitton Speedy costs about SGD800 only!!! For the same price you can only get a second-hand here.

Promised my friend I'd post this so that she can check things out better and know which ones to get for me she'd want.

Gah I just realised how impersonal this blog is, my friends don't have names, they're just "my friends". Gahh.

My friend, Ting, is psyching me to get the LV Speedy from Ireland, and I don't know how she's doing it, but it's working -_- For the next 2 months I'll be having zero life thank you very much. *cries*

1) Monogram 30 vs Monogram 25

Seemingly the only difference between the 2 is size, so it would make sense to get the cheaper 25. Besides the size difference is not so great. Let me go look for the exact dimensions...

According to eLuxury.com:
Monogram 30
12" L x 8" H x 6.5" W
Monogram 25
10" L x 7" H x 6" W

But it's shape and number of prints are also different. While I think I'll be content if I get either, I prefer the more complete look of the Monogram 30.

2) Louis Vuitton Monogram Neverfull

Another bag to look out for would be the LV Neverfull, it's relatively affordable for its size and I love it because, no surprise, it's an oversized carry-all.

I saw someone carrying it and immediately took a liking to it. Because it's oversized it had a slight slouch that I really loved.

In fact I loved it so much, I almost stalked the person carrying it. I wondered why she kept sneaking glances at me and then hugging her bag tightly, lost me in the crowd.

In Singapore I heard it's sold out at boutiques I think, heard it's light as well.

Is it just me, or is the bucket bag becoming a new trend?

My Super Exciting Daily Routine

Ok so this is what I have to do everyday:

1) Wake up and curse angrily at whoever's unfortunate enough to be dj-ing when the radio alarm went off. Wash myself to wake myself up proper.

2) Think of what I'm going to eat/cook while having breakfast.

3) Switch on the laptop and load iTunes and movies/dramas to be watched later. If I decide to cook something then I'll be browsing recipe sites.

4) Check driving website hoping to get an earlier practical test date. My lessons are almost done but the test is on the 18th of January because I was being ignorant and idiotic.

5) Ebay for the LV Speedy.

I don't know why either also. The cheapest most believable non-dubious price it could ever be would be $500, and that's second-hand. I don't have $500.

Anyway, the LV Speedy Cherry keeps popping up. It looks tacky online, but my friend carries it and it looks fine. Hmm. Maybe next time when I'm attempting to steal it I'll have a closer look.

Of Vintage Bags and Missed Love

Much apologies for the lack of content.

I've been busy the past few days spending as much time with my bestie the shameless farter who's going to Ireland for 4 freaking months. I think that was an attempt to be so sick of each other that we won't miss each other or something.

Anyway I saw the most quintessential bag/luggage ever while in Chinatown a few days ago.

It's a hand luggage/bag because I would bring this to school or work (interning next semester! yay?).

ME WANTS! It was pretty affordable too! I would've bought it immediately if I still had pocket money. I worked a few days back too, hoping to get a full day's pay but because we were so efficient *coughs* our work was done in a mere 2 hours.

It's insides has the most adorable lining.

It was lying pretty alongside the other prettier bags and chests.

There was also another bigger vintage luggage.

My friend decided to bring a vintage bag to Ireland as well:

Heeeeeeeeeeeeee. I like it la, honestly :)

IT Fair was fun.
"Fast Pass" was fun.
Emoticon and webcam craziness was fun.
Impromptu stayovers was fun.
Super late suppers/super early breakfast was fun.

Not hearing your shameless farting for 4 months, not so fun.

My Luxurious Wishes are Simple

If I could have any luxury bag, my choices are...

*sigh* incredibly boring. I'm a sucker for the classics.

1) Louis Vuitton Monogram Speedy

Aaah, the true classic. This is the bag I'd want to pass down to my child. I could travel with it, I could shop with it. So versatile, yet so chic. What's not to love?

2) Prada Logo Jacquard

I don't really care what type of bag, as long as it's a logo jacquard. There's just something attractive about letting the whole world know the trying-to-be-subtle label of your bag.

I did think to lengthen this list but then again if I had to think up of more bags to be placed on the list beside the two choices that were immediate responses, then that wouldn't exactly be a favourite favourite, would it?

I do love the more dated Marc Jacob's quilted Stam and Balenciaga's Motorcycle bag, but somehow seeing the overwhelming number of replicas is dulling the desire for me. Perhaps in the near future I'll grow to love them again.

The Quirky Purse that Deserves More

Is it post-about-bags day today? Because my next post that I did half-way and forgot all about is also coincidentally about bags.

I have quite a few bags that haven't been getting some airtime, like my mustard yellow clutch, and my Harajuku Lover's clutch.

I finally brought out my vintage-y purse that I'm ashamed to say I forgot all about.

This was the outfit...

Purple butt-clinging dress, Chuck Taylor Hi-Tops.

And then the gorgeously quirky purse.

This was a gem.
It was a steal, and at that time I was feeling quite eclectic.
I absolutely love it.

Curse my bigger love for bigger bags.

The Seventeen Tote

Thanks to Fashion Nation's tipoff, I bought this month's issue of Seventeen! Just for the fabulous tote. So now the entire population of Singapore probably owns one and strangely enough I don't really care.


It has the most adorable print, it's not of shoddy quality, and more roomy than expected. Hell, my laptop could fit in it! Not that I'm confident enough to lug my laptop around in it anyway.

I did want the other design though, which is Tamagotchi-like but I couldn't find it anywhere. Meh, I'm quite content with my owl.

Guess Summer bags

I've always associated Guess with being, very loud, maybe even slutty. Subtlety is NOT their trademark at all.

Their handbags at most times just overuse designs and plonk everything nice onto one bag, thus making the end product trashy looking.

Which is why sometimes I do wonder at my fascination and constant attraction to want to look at their bag collection everytime I walk near one.

But hey, occasionally they do do good also, such as with this bag:

Perhaps it's my girly instinct to embrace anything in pink, perhaps I just like the fact that it's a straw bag because I currently do not own a nice straw bag.

But yes, I love this bag and I wouldn't mind having this as a nice school bag.



This one almost made it into the ugly list because of the match of animal print, pucci-like inner print and the scarf, but the straw bag somehow saves it.

Remember how I mentioned before that I'm not that big of a bag person? Yeah, well, now I'm thinking I am :).

retrodelic

I love the bags from retrodelic. I wouldn't call myself a bag person; when I go shopping I don't look at bags and I stick to a select few bags every time.

But these bags from retrodelic make me want to go out searching for bags.

What I really liked about all their bags was that despite them having a retro feel, it still is very timeless. If there's anything I'll fall for, that would be gorgeous timelessness.

The Oversized Prada Bag

I finally went to town over the weekend!

First, I want to karaoke again! This time with vengence. They installed something into the karaoke system that FORCES you to stop. Bah.

Second, I was shopping for boots for a NINE YEAR OLD. Even I don't own a pair, are you kidding me. And they were such a pretty pink pair and bears the same price as a pair of cheap adult boots at $60 with 20% off.

Third, my mother is a perfume freak and I think I am slowly turning into one.

Fourth and the true purpose of this entry, I saw someone carrying a Prada oversized carry-all that I saw online before but thought it looked pretty blah but it looked fabulous on him.

I even exclaimed "that is a gorgeous bag" out loud and did some blatant finger-pointing at the bag. I don't do that.

Unlike the slouchy oversized carry-alls that were so last, last season, his was structured, yet has this sort of casual elegance about it.

Perhaps it was what he wore. For the record the man was wearing casual polo tee, khaki pants and nice leather shoes.

I looked for the bag online but can't seem to find his exact one.
