Lomo Cams

It's a few days till the Songkran festival in Thailand and I can't believe I'm missing it. Just a few months ago my friends and I were seriously planning to make the trip, that is until we all got jobs [or stopped contacting me altogether *rolls eyes*].

I want to get a lomography camera, so I can have artsy, unpredictable, blurry [hence better-looking me] to scrapbook holiday trips.

I see a lot of stupid silly people who buy these manual analog babies just because of the hype and eventually sell them off online probably because they can't be bothered to trudge down to certain photo shops to develop and such.

My heart is pretty much set on the basic Holga that can be easily modified to my liking once I get used to its most primary form, but I wish it came with an underwater casing. Then I bring it along when I go caving/snorkelling. The underwater version thus far would be the frogeye but it's not modifiable.

Pink holgas would be so cool though, too bad it doesn't come in the super basic version.
Anyway, t's really huge, I like :).

DSLR what?

Fisheye - can purchase the underwater casing from lomographyasia.com. The site is quite un-user friendly hence didn't do link-ups from there.
Nice site though.

I'm still researching on the Diana cam though.
It takes soft, dreamy photos I think.

Hmm hmm hmmm.

Wasn't this such a waste of your fashion-blog-post-expecting-time?! Anyway, I still don't understand why polaroid films are being discontinued. Boobooboobye.

Who's a happy bunny?!

Me, me, me!!!

This week has been pretty laidback, the entire office is soo much more calmer and for the first time since I'm there, some of my colleagues are leaving earlier than me! Cool. Then I got stuff!

Perfect wayfarers that do not fall off my nose/rest on my cheeks!

I think I should really go and get the book now.

And bestest best of all...

*HEARTS*
Fina-freaking-ly.
It looks even better than I imagined.
I've just about uploaded my whole iTune playlist into it and I still have A LOT of space.

Now I'm just looking for a decent casing. It's ridiculous how tough they are to find online.

The iPod Classic has Bought Me.

Woo alright, feels like ages since I last blogged. Busy, busy week, as always. My birthday thingies are such nice affairs spent with the people I love and I took a tiny break from work :). I'll try to post up photos asap -_-.

Meanwhile I have been trying to catch Threadless sprees! So far since the last post, there has been at least one spree that opens everyday, and I've been missing every single one of them! Boo. By the time I do manage to catch one, I get the feeling sizes would have run out.

ANYWAY. I am getting myself an iPod.

Yes, I have finally been sucked into the dark side that is the iPod legion.

But I can't help myself, iPod rules. I used to think of it as nothing but a mere fashion fad. As a gadget, I thought other mp3 players were bound to knock it off it's throne.

But it has remained formidable and Apple has even shamelessly called the original iPod the iPod classic. And you know what, I am buying it. The iPod classic is truly a classic.

Too sleek and stylish.

The latest version has such a large space capacity of either 80GB or 160GB, talk about endless music and video entertainment!

And if I order it online, I can engrave the back of my stylish iPod! Coolness.

I'm already spending my pay, I mean allowance [-_-] before I even get it! Gah. I should really take care of my LV bag fund first but I cannot stand another day in the train with other bored commuters without a stylish gadget.

Of course, I would love to have the iPod Touch as well. Just the fact that everything is touch-screen is sexy as hell. I mean, you pinch photos to zoom!

*Sigh*.

Sorry Creative, I tried to love you, I really did.

The Importance of Looking Important

So,

Why the Motorola Q9H?

1) Its spokesbunny is this adorable character my friends and I kind of collect on MSN Messenger.

It's real name is Tuzki but we call it Phoebe after our equally ditzy friend :P :P.

Also one of the icons has an Happy Birthday on it, which is very apt because my birthday is approaching very, very near.

What? I'm just shameless like that.

2) It comes with 3.5G connectivity which means I can surf the net, check emails, instant message, and best of all, I could BLOG.

The Motorola Q9H would be perfect for me now especially since I've been griping about not being able to blog because I can't be connected. It would give me something to do on the train too, my old-school Gameboy just don't cut it for me anymore. Besides I don't think I can stand another day of facing other bored-looking people.

Speaking of entertainment, it can also play music and videos on dual stereo speakers. Dual stereo speakers do take the experience to another level.

I'm not quite sure how the office functions would come useful to me, but I suppose they could be helpful in the future.

3) Most importantly, of course, it has form.

Despite its width, it still retains this sleek look. When it comes to gadgets, I've come to the conclusion that the best colour to have them in would be black and red.

And this baby comes in beautiful black.

I like that it's not of the typical phone shape. Blackberry-styled with QWERTY keypad and colour wide screen, it would no doubt make me look really important, heh.

Then I can play Puzzle Bobble on it and still look important and busy, a good distinction from the rest of the crowd :).

Off to bed, tomorrow is a Monday and we all know what that means for me T_T.

Hello Kitty Strikes Yet Again!

I need a new mouse! Why is it that my computer peripherals keep dying on me? First the printer, then the earphones and now the bloody mouse.

Anyway, I was searching online for optical mouse-s (or does 'mice' apply in this case as well?) and I came across this.

*Squeaaallls* In 2 colours no less!

DO I DARE?! O.o

Mode: Tech Nerd

Taking a break from work! Finally able to upload photos, yayness.

I'm beginning to become less and less of a tech idiot. I think. Maybe it's because I'm learning of all these new technology in school currently.

Anyway, I try to stay updated instead of being ignorant. It's beginning to affect how I go about researching for gadgets.

See, I am thinking of getting a new phone.

A few weeks ago I would have prioritised style. Recently, however, I began putting in other things into consideration, such as a 3G/3.5G and WiFi connectivity feature, whether it allows memory expansion, whether it comes with stereo headphones, mp3 player/FM radio.

Not that that was all that mattered, the phone's form factor still plays an integral part.

I've only looked at Nokia phones and so far these are the winners:

Nokia E65
In sexy red and with a soft leather-like back. Slider form factor is also very appealing.
It's a business phone so music playability isn't important hence the mono headset though.

Nokia 6120
It is so ordinary-looking, but it is packed with awesome features.
Plus the silver is actually really nice, and has a reflective mirror effect because it's so shiny.

Nokia 7900 Prism
This one looks like a toy in real life and I'll probably have a hard time using the keypad, but strangely enough I like it.

In the Nokia N95 and iPhone battle, it's obvious that the N95 is far superior in terms of features and user-friendliness and hence a better investment. Knowing all that, somehow the iPhone and its sleek interface still seduces me so.

*Sigh* Such is the contradiction of the style-obsessed girl in me who strives to be technologically hip.

And to be technologically hip I frequently read all of these tech sites:

CNET Asia

Shiny Shiny

Popgadget
Tokyomango
Chip Chick
Gadgetress
Gadget 4 Girls

Ok so I lied a little, I frequent the first two only, the rest I visit when I remember. But they're all great tech blogs with a girly touch, except for CNET Asia of course. Update yourself, it's the 3G generation, yo.

Creative Zen Stone, well, rocks!

I officially need an mp3 player.

And I'm really really liking Creative's Zen Stone. As a self-proclaimed local brand advocator I am ashamed to say that I was once an Apple snob, preferring its clean and minimalistic design over Creative's features.

But this time round, the Creative Zen Stone, probably made to combat the iPod shuffle, wins. It's so cute!

[Source: CNET Asia]

I'm planning to get the Creative Zen Stone Plus. Apart from me preferring it's design over the iPod shuffle, I also like that it has a screen and FM radio.

Oh and have I mentioned that it's unbelievably affordable? It retails for SGD$99 for a 2GB size. The Creative Zen Stone one, which differs because it has no screen and FM radio I think, costs about SGD$60 for 1 GB.

I'm currently awaiting a review from favourite geek website, CNET Asia. Whee.

Cute and Useful

Fred Flare is known for being a cute fest, but I didn't know they have a lot of wicked cool gadgets as well.

video iPod karaoke system

I'd kill for this if I actually owned a video iPod.
No more forced-to-stop karaoke systems! HA!

Peeps marshmallow maker

A really real marshmallow maker? Seriously?

red heart measuring tape

If I were some fashion designer wannabe I'd carry this around to measure cloth and stuff!

pink ladiez tool kit

Not that I'd actually USE it, but still, every household has to have one toolkit.
Besides this one is in pink. PINK!

Just because :)

N.E.E.T. Magazine's latest issue is out!
