Rag & Bone Fall 2008

It's Fall season? So soon?

Anyway, one of the labels I always look forward to, Rag & Bone.

They dictate blazers and vests are making a comeback. Make it look this season by pairing them with tailored bermudas and sheer stockings.






I'm actually bored at home. Shall go make spaghetti or something.

Fall '07 Wrap Up: Favourite Collections Paris

1) Christian Dior

There's just one word to describe this collection: Gorgeous. The collection has this old 40's glamour feel to it that I love.

I am also loving the platform footwear.







2) Louis Vuitton

It seems Marc Jacobs is really adamant about sleek lines, as he brought it out in the opening pieces.

I would kill for the headgear, and the very pretty tie-dye pieces.






3) Elie Saab

I love this collection because of the very flowy dresses amidst the rigidity of other several other collections.

The cocktail dresses are cute and flirty yet glamorous at the same time, the way it should be.

The jewel tones rock as well.






4) Miu Miu

This was an interesting collection. The pieces are not blatantly cute, but they are still youthful.

What appeals to me is the various material used. There's tweed, leather, and chiffon. Mix-match my materials? Pssh hell no.




5) Balenciaga

Thank you because blazers are not dead! I love blazers, and mine still remain as wardrobe staples.

Pockets in pretty cocktail dresses are still in vogue, it seems. Perfectly fine by me.

Fall '07 Wrap Up: Favourite Collections Milan

1) Etro

Flipping through look after look of this collection was pure joy.

I loved the mix-match of textures, and the unique but still wearable cut of the pieces.







2) Burberry Prorsum

I love this collection because it has two of my favourite things together: grey and leather.

I like how leather is incorporated without making the outfit look S&M-ish. The key here is to use it in the accessories. Those are some killer boots.







3) Emilio Pucci

As much as I like my neutrals, a burst of colour is very much appreciated. Plenty of short dresses that I love.

Of course, Pucci just isn't Pucci wihout lovely prints, but their use of colour co-ordination and metallic sheen is what got me.






4) Jil Sander

Despite having a new designer, the collection has retained the severe minimalism that it is famous for.

I've always loved their dresses more than the pants.

Fall '07 Wrap Up: Favourite Collections London

Pardon my lack of commentary for this entry! I am feeling a little sick because I had the craziest Chinese New Year feast with friends :).

I know! It's almost the end of Milan Fashion Week and I still have not covered London Fashion Week.

Truth is, London Fashion Week is not as exciting as New York. But nonetheless, I tried hard but I could only honestly say these.

1) Nathan Jenden

Easily my most favourite out of London Fashion Week.

While the pieces alone aren't that spectacular, the concept of the whole show is refreshingly different.

I love everything about the collection; the pretty prom dresses, the pouffy hair and veil, the platform shoes that you'd usually find on cosplayers.






2) Marc By Marc Jacobs

Not totally impressed, but the genius layering makes up for it. No more bag lady chic, this time the looks adopt a more luxurious feel with its material, cleaner lines, and neutral colours.
