Tokyo Street Style 1 May 2006

I browsed through Tokyo Street Style and so, uh, here are my favourites.

It proved to be the return of the jumper indeed. On the streets of Omotesando, at least.

The typical jumper, the one that I doubt I can pull off. I attempted making myself look less like a lost child but didn't work. Perhaps if it was a skirt then.

Aah, this sort of jumper I'd be able to wear better. The floatiness of it is a nice change.

It really is the return of the jumper! According to this article from Style.com anyway.

3.1 Phillip Lim

Right, right, back to the streets of Tokyo.

From Shibuya I picked her because she is layering dresses! And the best part is that they're all monochromatic, flexible neo colours of black, white, and current fave, grey! Love her boots also.

Notice that its a grey jacket, proving my point that grey outerwear is an excellent investment, heh. I'm still searching, by the way.

Topshop Summer Dresses

I went to Topshop yesterday and finally tried on a few of their very winsome summer dresses.

Love this quirky adorable dress. My size wasn't available though. This looks like it fits because I gathered the loose bit and "pinned" it at the back with my arms.

The more clingy jersey but still comfortable dress with cherry prints.

I love the colour combo for the cherry prints. Hot pink and navy blue.

This dress was from the Topshop Boutique. I hate myself for not remembering which designer collaboration it was with. Lulu, Lula something? Or was it Zandra Rhodes?

It has patchwork on the bottom right side. Somehow that emits a very
Vivienne Westwood-esque vibe.

GSS 06

Vintage McDonalds Tees

Look familiar?

McDonalds is doing a JunkFood.

My opinion? I don't know, they're very pricey at $56. But because I'm in a good mood for vintage tees, I'll let this pass.

Suspenders and Braces

Because nothing says androgynous better than a good pair of braces/suspenders.

Just having a rough time finding one though. I remember seeing a pair connected to either a skirt or a pair trousers at Topshop and Forever21 but of course they're all gone now.

You can wear them with crochet translucent pants.

Or with high-waisted mummy skirts.

Or with tight-butt mini skirts.

Or with a waisted black straight cut.

Or with satin billowy pants. My favourite.

I tried auctions but all I got were spongebob/mickey mouse. Cute, except they're for children. I'll continue searching then.

I want to go to a thrift store. Maybe I can find a suspenders some dead guy just donated.

Australian Fashion Week '06

I have the perception that Australians are laid-back people, so I assume that they own simplistic incomplex outfits that are easily put together. I'm not that off the mark if we'd take a look at the

What I like really would be that their clothes are made for all-year sunny weather. So what you see on the runway, can be copied exactly without the subtraction of a certain article of clothing and whatnots. The convenience is nice for a change.

I'm not totally off the mark it seems. Their runway shows shows some easily put together ensembles. Here are some of my favourites.

I've been looking for a similar floaty chiffon dress. Love the footwear. I shall try my best to attempt it because I do not like socks.

A little too much green for me but the shade is flattering. I like the bow too.

Cute, never thought gingham would match cartoony.

Pretty Greek goddess.

Kirrily Johnson

Ravishing. Colour combo, electric blue waist belt, deep pockets at the side, subtle bubbling of the skirt. I love it in all its mere 3-piece glory.

The best label so far would have to be Caravana because of their whimsical vintage designs.

Tommy Hilfiger SS06

I was browsing through Tommy Hilfiger's Spring 06 Ready-to-Wear runway and usually I don't take notice of the Men's collection, but this time my eyes were wide open.

I love their simple enough pieces that allows for endless chic mix-and-matching.

Indulge.

The utilisation of hot pink for the nautical trend that actually works better than the standard navy blue.

How about a little scottish plaid then? And the bit of briefs showing through, nice touch. I secretly think that a bit of label showing is cool.

Do it like Seth Cohen from The OC and pull off casual preppy.

Or follow Ashton Kutcher's lead and layer a smart blazer over a slack hoodie.

Tommy Hilfiger

This, ladies and gentlemen, is why a model is a model. Only he can pull off so much pastel pink.
